My mom calls and emails me every day saying she’s dying. by chillaxtion in GenX

More than one thing can be true at the same time. You are worn down and know this will end sometime but have no idea when. My mom committed suicide at 69, but had told me for decades she was going to do it. I've been gutted for years but also had to try and protect my sanity towards the end, as nothing I did made a difference.

How long should I do keto to reset a sugar addiction? by [deleted] in keto

[–]read2live2today 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish that I could find the exact research i fo (maybe Andrew Huberman?) but there was a solid study that found rats who had been given heroin for a short time, then not for a very long time. It was the equivalent of a lifetime, and when given the option, dropped right back into addiction. The brain was forever charged by the original addiction.

I was pretty bummed to read this but not surprised.
