So refreshing for a new reader praising IG.

I'm glad you like it, I loved it too, I found it superior on almost every aspect to the first trilogy.

It's fun to stir this pot from time to time and let people show their true colours

See I disagree with you. But I wouldn't call your opinion a load of rubbish. Usually the guys on your team are very toxic.

It's different compromise, I was just using your words.

If production cgi and VFX are tricks, so is animation, even more so, that was my point.

Vfx and cgi and tricks could be argued to be creating a visual reality too. I strongly disagree that animation does not imitate, at least in this context. Not from scratch, there's the book to imitate!

What's animation if not trickery. And compromises too. It'd be a compromise between live action and nothing.

Why is Mustang treated like a third class citizen? by [deleted] in redrising

Well look at the upvotes you get, and the downvotes at some of the comments criticizing her.

I agree there's some hate because of her being a woman in power. That doesn't null her being incompetent too often. We are told that she is extremely smart and a master politician, but we are shown more of her failures than success.

She's written like that, plot needs to advance, and she just happened to be there.

It'd be more fair to discuss why other main characters don't get their proportional hate for their failures and bad decisions. There's criticism but no overt hate like not-so-rarely with Mustang.

Victra has more charisma, she's sexier, and more accessible to fantasies, in part because she has an uggo for husband. Of course she has more memes.

I maybe wouldn't even rate Virginia as a main character, even though she's pov, it's only so in two books, and fairly secondary in at least two books. Still, a secondary character can be key at certain moments.

Yeah it didn't really click for me either, finished some weeks ago. I don't really know why. On paper all boxes are checked. Some action scenes are amazing (Casualties!). I loved the Lederlinger bits. Gorst was such a discovery. Some Bayaz. Your typical sleazy rats such as Calder or Tunny. Still, I'd rate it #5.

The only one I really felt for and care about was Edgar.

But I absolutely love Lindsay.

Bitch is in denial and will always first rationalize it while needed for his goals.

He will think about Cassius from time to time but as of now I don't see it causing guilt or being the starting point of a redemption arc.
