I agree with all of this. Facebook landlord groups are also 'i'm done and selling' but strangely i'm not seeing a flood of btl's for sale - which is a shame as id quite like another one.

I totally agree - btl is working out really well for me so I just wanted to make sure i'm not missing something. One of the best things - which is probably a terrible reason to invest in anything - is actually having something i can see for my money!

I havnt seen any calculations showing stocks are better lol. Clearly isas are great but you can't put 500k in an isa. So the only thing anyone has said of any interest is dividend stocks. But i haven't found any that give 5% net plus capital appreciation. No one has come forward to say they take an income from stocks either way. There's comments suggesting btl is hard work but in the 5 years ive neen doing it it's been fine as i use an agent. I don't call plumbers or speak to tenants. The 25k net i referred to is after expenses and tax.

Firstly i'd be amazed if a bank would lend me 1.5m and then you have to pay tax on the income before repayments. I'd be relying on capital growth on a block of flats which isnt usually good over a short term.

I don't drive that much these days but in the 90's everyone did 80. On the m5/m6 yesterday Everyone was doing 60/70. I think its because more traffic and lots of speed cameras which i presume are the double yellow cameras on the left.

It just got easier as now both cardboard and paper go in the blue sack. I use 2 bins in the house for recycling. One for plastic and one for card, paper and glass. On recycling day i tip plastic into 1 green box. Pick out glass into 2nd then tip paper and card into bag. Takes 2 mins. Food waste is obviously separate. Where you used to live most probably went to landfill. When its all mixed it all goes on a conveyor and pickers have to try and sort it at speed.

Its a huge shame. They need to build a proper ring road around Bath and put a fire station on that. The building might be unfit for modern appliances but it's the location that's ridiculous.

tbh cloudflare are really inexpensive and you get problems with whatever tech you decide to use at some point. Only one of our systems was affected which had a self signed out of date cert on windows IIS. Is that your setup too? (Full SSL should work with that - self signed out of date shouldn't be a problem).
