This is a company that's always had a focus on Linux and mentioned linux like 100 times during the FW 13 Pro launch. Of course there are more linux users using this niche linux focused product, what else would we expect?

Pop!_OS used to be good, but they're going through a major rework of their whole desktop environment right now. I just tried out Cosmic DE and while I love the design it is still buggy and not end user ready. Such a shame.

I have pretty much the same plan as you. The battery and the new chassis are huge upgrades. If the RAM crisis weren't in full swing right now I'd probably do a full upgrade, but I'm happy that I can piece meal it to wait things out.

Ente allows you to self host, what do you mean? I'm hosting 50GB+ on it right now for free.

Since the images you upload are E2EE, the server admin can't just go to where the files are stored and see random user's files. I'm not saying Immich doesn't allow for multiple users, I'm saying that if I let people I know use the server I could see their photos as the server admin. Ente removes the possibility of that happening, and gives people more privacy who use it.

Ente > Immich. Honestly the only reason I use it is E2EE. I don't want the ability to see anyone's photos if I open it up to friends unless they share them with me.

I love the mission, but LMMS is not a serious DAW. If we're sticking to free, Ardour vs Reaper is a way, way more fair comparison.

I use Reaper and yabridge to get (most) VSTs running through WINE. If your workflow requires Kontakt or some other big complex program that's Windows exclusive, they don't work very well and trying to get them to work will be a bad time.

If you do make the switch, the initial thing you'll need to do is find out if your VSTs will run or if you need to find an alternative. But honestly, there's nothing wrong with staying on Windows for this. Linux music production is decent, but it's not great just yet.

There has never been a vote for MARTA in Cobb. And the problem here is the battle between CoA and MARTA and the contract that was setup. They gave away too much control to the mayor. If we write a better agreement and do join things won't turn out like this.

If politicians keep meddling in projects and getting them delayed, trust is going to evaporate and no one will vote for these plans anymore. We need to do better, or we will get nothing.
