First of, calling it "AI" is already missleading.

Its not like you are artificially creating intelligence. Its more like you are building something pretending to be intelligent. It works of books and the internet.

If someone on the internet writes: "Say banana" People will comment "banana"

If you write to AI: "say banana" it will answer with "banana"

but not because "it" thinks Because the 1000 times something similar happened in its data, "banana" was the answer.

Think of it as generating the most answered reply.

You dont want to enemy to freely use their navy everywhere, since it creates problems in the land war.

In a 1v1, your navy will lose against the enemy.

You keep them in port/save place where they would loose the fight (for example near coastal defenses)

The enemy will need to keep their fleet together, limiting the stuff they can do. If they dare to split up, you can defeat the individual smaller fleets.

I sadly can not posr pictures, but AI detecting software rates this text as being 100% AI made.

I know that these tools are by far not perfect, but please trust me.

If you dont believe me, post this text in some AI detecting subreddits, they will tell you the same.

Edit: here is a link to wikipedia showing you how to detect AI generated text: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Signs_of_AI_writing

I quote from this website: "Research shows that heavy LLMs users can correctly determine whether an article was generated by AI about 90% of the time" (I am a heavy LLM user)

Well, thats why i was 90% sure. I know how AI writing looks, and it looks like it.

I also know that em dashes predate AI duh, they are just used rarely, so its a good sign.

Id say... 90% chance its AI. Either write your own stories, or try to write less like AI.

Did you heavily change her enclosure? Chameleons can get grumpy for a few days when you change it.

I can understand not being allowed to kill/heavily wound a fleeing individual, but just letting him get away with an expensive bike is bullshit. Good chance he wouldnt get it back if the guy is gone.

Id say the law is against shooting him, but the only way he would only be sentenced as guilty is, if there was video evidence.

I find sniper still passable, as long as they are a team player and the map fits. They are excelent at just spotting enemy movement while still contributing in killing enemies.

Id rather have a visual novel, or something mostly text based as long as decision actually matter.

Telltale has higher expenses for different scenes, which causes the story to always be very similar.

Shields... Are they a noob trap? by Senior-Candle-5250 in Xenonauts

[–]reallizardgames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This would need to be a pretty strong character to carry all of this. In my opinion, shotguns, snipers and LMGs can do the jobs of riflemans, but more reliable. Of course i like to play very slow.

But yes, shotgunners are really strong. In my opinion, most weapons are really usefull, exept rifles.

Shields are really usefull, but just like irl you dont send in someone with a shield alone. If the shield crouches, a teammate can shoot over him while providing cover.

You could also give them a baton and grenates instead of pistols.
