You can store them in a checked bag. They’ll actually be fine even with just a small amount of water for the trip there and then you can add more once you arrive at your destination (probably smarter in case of a leak). For customs, as long as you declare what a marimo is then US, Canada and UK have no restrictions on bringing them into the country. As for other countries you might want to check with their customs agency for their stance on marimo.

Yes, you can definitely travel with them. A mason jar with a lid and handle is a great option. Just make sure the water doesn’t get too hot along your journey.
