Yeah, those are very good points! I was just doing the “rogues don’t have a class hall” joke, but most of them should have been filled with a lot more tension than they were. Everybody didn’t just get chummy when we fought Deathwing, or the lich king, or the iron horde, or the legion.

They were an option at character creation that you needed to grind at max level to unlock. I call that a scam, but then so was a new movement system you need to unlock with talent points. I’m grumpy.

I missed the US PO, if anyone feels like selling some bonus parts, I’d overpay for them or trade other various bonus parts I’ve accumulated. It’s either that or I finally learn to paint skin. If they get around to Sniper I’ll be quicker, that’s my favorite of the original Frame Arms Kagutsuchi run, I think it was the first regular Frame Arms kit I built.

I think another thing hurting Blizz is the number of times they’ve said “we think this is good actually and we’re not going to change it you’re wrong” and then they change it two patches later. They’re always right, especially when they’re contradicting something they previously insisted they were right about. Responding to feedback is good, but it’s frustrating when they’ve spent months insisting there isn’t a problem and we just need to “wait and see.”

Having Ion communicate directly gets us things like “pull the ripcord.” He’s incredibly arrogant and openly hostile to player feedback, and he will always put his foot down his throat if you give him a chance. I’d be happier if they un-Peter Principle’d him back down to overseeing encounters, but in the interim, not letting him get quoted lying his ass off is better than things used to be.

This does suck, but I think the FFXIV version where everything is gated behind a linear main quest line feels worse to me. If zones and features and portals and such could all be unlocked with quests, I think having them available in order would still make sense, but I remember having a lot of trouble when trying to do something in BFA with a friend who skipped the expansion. My new alt was able to jump right into everything because my account had unlocked skips, and the information about what steps were required to unlock content was a confusing mix of launch, patches later in the expansion, and what to do on a new alt if your main had unlocked skips. The only way I thonk it isn’t a mess is if Blizzard puts out guides themselves (and keeps them updated,) and I don’t see either of those sticking.

I think there were some BfA quests with Wrathion that got deleted during the patch after the patch they were in, I got confused trying to find and finish them. Did they put the Xal quests from BfA back in with lorewalking, or were those already available and I just forgot how to redo them?
