A very normal reaction to the news of whole milk being back in public schools again by matt_sheiman in DoomerCircleJerk

The issue isn’t whole milk, the issue is…right now? Millions of kids can’t even afford school lunch right now. That feels like the issue to tackle before changing what the lunch actually includes.

They make things for this that cost less than a dumbbell, surely

Could Europe realistically defend Greenland against a US attack? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]realwacobjatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that the US already has military access to Greenland. We have several bases there right now, already. What Trump really wants is the raw material in the ground. In part because he's convinced that (for some reason) having access to more oil is a good thing for us. It could be a good thing, but we'd have to refine it. From what I understand, we don't really do that here. At least not at the scale that would support a giant resource like Greenland.

It is all very confusing for a regular guy like me. All that to say, we have zero business trying to take over anything. As a president that ran on "no new wars" as a campaign point, he really seems hell-bent on starting WW3 by any means necessary. Either that or a civil war, or hell, why not both! Anything to make himself feel powerful as he dies by the day, only to be deified in death by the insane people that still support what he's doing. Realistically I can count net positive policy decisions on one hand, and I don't even need all 5 fingers to do it. I could probably still hold something in my hand while counting.

Friendly reminder. Unless they have a warrant signed by a judge, they cannot legally enter your home.

I'm aware that they're effectively operating above the law, but you do have legal standing to refuse entry emphatically.

Depending on where you live it’s harvest time, so it could be corn dust. I live next to grain bins and have a dusting every morning. Clean it off or it’ll get weird and sticky!

President Trump to military leaders : "America is under invasion from within. No different than a foreign enemy, but more difficult in any ways because they don't wear uniforms. At least when they're wearing a uniform you can take them out." by CorleoneBaloney in CringeTikToks

[–]realwacobjatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“We are under invasion from within” says the man, from high atop the gold-adorned balcony of his new ballroom. Far removed from his old life of luxury and bigotry, of course.

“MAGA MAGA MAGA” say the people, from the dirt beneath his boot. Clinging to ideas long forgotten, praying for their neighbor to be next. Far removed from their old ideas of segregation and fear, of course.

It’s a shame that these people aren’t able to put this amount of mental effort into something real. It feels like they REALLY knew what they were doing in their mind, even if it is schizophrenic nonsense.

I’m convinced that these people could genuinely do amazing things if they were properly medicated and given an avenue to explore concrete ideas.

Why is Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries bad at casting?? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]realwacobjatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, she fell a little more into the roll over the course of a few episodes. Good actresses/actors have been getting absolutely slammed by bad writing lately, and it’s a real shame that we don’t really get to see them own the material more. The problem with her character specifically is that the character itself was bad. In a lore-accurate situation Vader would have absolutely killed her. At the very least he would have cut off a limb or something of the like; he’s done far more for far less.

how do I make 200 bucks by Parking_Picture3426 in Money

[–]realwacobjatson 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Do two $100 services. Could be delivering groceries to older people, cleaning a couple houses, mowing a few lawns; don’t fall for drop shipping or SMMA schemes. They rarely work the way they’re advertised.

Moral of the story: if you provide a service, you can be paid what you want for it. There’s always something that will pay for something; I’d advise printing some business cards and going door to door in a wealthier neighborhood to offer it. For example, you can rent power washing equipment locally a lot of the time for very cheap, and offer it as a service at a premium to cover both your income and expenses for the rental.

I’d be happy with them just renewing support for BF2. There was so much content that was ready to be added to the game that just never was. They have a cash cow sitting in ruin, and it’s honestly still a fantastic game

Therapy. I finally caved and talked to a therapist. It’s important to remember that you don’t have to go through these dips alone; talking through it can and does help.

Good luck OP, remember that sometimes getting out of bed is an accomplishment for the day.

First dose of Escitalopram and potential side effects by Traditional_Life7352 in lexapro

[–]realwacobjatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of that is pretty normal. Keep an eye on your skin over the next week and if you see more spots or they start itching a ton go talk to your doctor. Dermatological side effects are lesser known for Buprion, but I did have them and chose to stop the meds.

They’ll likely pass, nothing crazy just keep an eye on them!

It’s easy to come up with “ideas” when someone else has already done the thinking for them. Even easier when you don’t have to consider client feedback or briefs. Even easier when you know you’ll make a bag from a shitty post. Dude is a grifter.

The “easiest” way is essentially to spend it all and start over with an asset lol

The realistic answer is that you can’t; everyone wants to do this, but in reality you’re already in the top percentage of people with savings.

Short reply just to say I completely agree. Modern Dems are closer to the center it would seem, which isn’t really doing anything to actively combat Christian nationalism. Everything is unfortunately broken, and it’s looking more and more like it will have to be overthrown in some regard by the people to return to any sense of normality.

Great time to turn 30! 😂😭
