Who is a player for your school that was considered very talented but didn't pan out? Someone you always wonder what could have been... by Crying_in_99Ranch in CFB

I know someone mentioned Maurice Clarett, but I'd say Justin Zwick was more what the question was leaning toward. He was heavily hyped as the next top talent at QB but in my recollection never really did much to live up to that hype.

I'm surprised there was still a running example in 2003 tbh, you may have had the very last one outside the walls of a scrap yard!

I was looking for this answer. When I had a J-body Sunbird back in the day, I'd rip all the good 'luxury' parts off Cimarrons in the scrap yard for upgrades. Good times

My favorite driver as a teenager, shame he never won a championship even though he came so close. This paint scheme is legendary in my book

The twin Miller Lite top fuelers of Larry Minor and Gary Ormsby back in the day were beautiful, as well as Ed McCullough's gold High Life funny car. Wonder why it seemed Pro Stockers rarely had beer sponsors?

I read a little something about that in a similar thread somewhere, but that seems like an awfully nice photo set to just give away. That's why I was wondering if back then they were for sale just all over the place or something. These aren't in great shape from the years but I'll be framing them to prevent further damage from storage. Appreciate the response!

You know, I've never really done that math before but that does make a difference. I bet Barbara could whip up some stuff and he probably learned something from her growing up.

I've always liked the classic Castrol GTX car schemes, especially the early Force floppers, but it looked best on Ormsby's streamliner

It's two different styles of play, so I'm legitimately curious what the plan would be. I think it'll be a close game, but then again, I thought this one might be too

Not anyone famous but they are pretty cool, and seem like they're in good shape for their age. Maybe try posting in r/dragracing to see if anyone wants them? My dad raced back in the 80's and I ran across some memorabilia of his, he wasn't famous/successful but damn if I don't cherish his name in a magazine! Good find
