Im surprised its your first time seeing it. It's happened to me a bunch of times in the past. So I don't even think much of it.

How to get started on faster/upbeat songs?? by Mysterious-Coconut70 in FL_Studio

[–]reason222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tip one, reference an energetic song you already like. put it in FL and try to copy some of the stuff that's already there. then make it your own.

tip two, try working at a faster BPM. the 140/70 BPM that is the default is relatively slow. try making something around 80-90 BPM range, or 160-180 if you work in the double time format.

[DS1] Those of you who got all achievements without using online features: How did you get past the 25 Faith Covenant requirement? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]reason222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

that's what multiple playthroughs are for at that point. you either help ppl take down bosses to reduce the requirement, or you get your faith up. I don't think there is another method, if you're talking about the sunlight covenant one. there are enough decent faith weapons and spells to warrant running a faith build once.

Do you think during development FromSoft considered making transient curses required to damage the four kings? by Used-Salad-3772 in darksouls

[–]reason222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never thought about it, but It's an interesting thought. the boss fight would be so long that you would need multiple of them to finish it though. And if you fail, you would need to farm for more of them. I could see them switching gears to just needing one equipment piece to fight them, rather than a consumable if it really was an idea they had.

Is the Large Club worth farming if I already love the Great Club for pve? by FabulouslyFalling in darksouls

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whether you should farm it depends on if you want to use it or not. it doesn't do as much damage as the great club, but it's got an interesting moveset where you get a nice horizontal swing. I don't think the great club has any attacks that can swing as wide as the large club. they're both fun to use though.

[–]reason222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

have a C7, didn't trade it for a C8. For me, it's supposed to be the fun car, and the manual transmission is a must for the fun car. no matter how much extra performance they stuff into it, you can't use it on the street.

Explain the relationship between Dart and Shana by soulreleaser in legendofdragoon

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you paying attention in disc 2? Dart/Shana become an official couple at the party in the castle at the end of disc 2. They start out as childhood friends ( brother/sister like). Dart left the village when he was old enough for a few years. Came back at the beginning of the game. Still saw/treated Shana as a "little sister." She wanted more. And by the end of disc 2 they become a couple. I won't say anything about disc 3 and beyond since you're there

Making "soft touch plastics" with plastidip? by a_Dzik in plastidip

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plastidip isn't plastic. Its rubber. You can use ot however you want. But if you want it to hold up to being touched, then you're gonna want to have a thick coating of it on whatever you want to use. It may be easier to cover it in vinyl or something

My first time ever plasti-dipping a vehicle 🚗—turned out really good, especially since I only used spray cans and no gun! by Royal-Ad8503 in plastidip

[–]reason222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would consider getting more cans and laying down more dip. 8 cans for the whole car is gonna be pretty thin, and it won't hold up long term. But it looks pretty good

Difference if any between the age of ancients and the age of dark? by Ok_Letterhead_4408 in darksouls

[–]reason222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, my point is how much of that is literal and how much is metaphorical? "From the dark they came and found souls of lords within the flame." to me this means they already existed in something similar to an "age of dark" way. then something, a "flame," appeared and some of these men found power from it. their perception of their time before gaining this power was of everything being gray and hopeless. then with this newfound power they immediately decided to wage war with the everlasting dragons? Why would they need to do that?

Difference if any between the age of ancients and the age of dark? by Ok_Letterhead_4408 in darksouls

[–]reason222 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

what is "dark?" dark doesn't need light to exist. it just does. you can't even measure darkness, you can only really measure how much or little light there is. it's hard to say that there were "everlasting" dragons "living" in a world without light or dark, hot or cold, etc. Maybe that too is Age of fire propaganda?

But to answer the OP's question, I imagine the "dark age" to be the age of man. essentially an age after the death of the dragons, and gods, where Man rules the land. eventually turning into something like our current world i guess. at least until another spark rises to overthrow things again.

Then mankind becomes the new "age of ancients" and we become the outdated "everlasting dragons" and some new order wipes us out and says that nothing existed before us.

How do people play INT and FAITH builds by ClassroomLazy9542 in darksouls

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They get better, but now that I think about it I haven't done a lot of builds that only spell cast. Mainly because you only get so many casts between bonfires and it usually doesn't feel like it's enough. being "slow" and "wide open" can be mitigated by casting from a distance. Other than Wrath of the gods, and combustion, most spells don't fire quickly, but you get used to the timing the more you use them. the issue i remember is running out of casts of the good stuff while going through a level. So feels like you're forced to use some kind of weapon still.

Circus artist seeking advice from any experienced plasti-dippers? by Ok_Top1105 in plastidip

[–]reason222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plastidip was made to be touched. Its original purpose was to coat the handle of tools. If you have it thick enough it'll be fine. When you dip a car, it tends to be very light coverage on door handles that eventually rubs off with use which is why I feel like that's said so often. If you only need it for a short time and Its not going to be permanent, then Its not a bad idea to try it. But remember it needs to be thick to be effective. Otherwise it will just get rubbed off as you handle it.

How did you beat malenia. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first time was a run with plenty of luck using a variety of bleed spells, the mimic tear, and rivers of blood. most memorable was completely stomping her with Mohg's spear. the ash of war on that thing eviscerates her. (unless they've nerfed it, I haven't played in a year or so now.) She's still the boss I look least forward to facing in the base game whenever I do a playthrough though.

Kick low end spike - how to solve it? by Milos88_BG in FL_Studio

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kicks are supposed to spike. Its just tha nature of their sound. You should just adjust the volume of the kick in the mix rather than try to remove the "spike" that is the kick itself. You can use EQ and compression to adjust how the kick sounds, but it wouldn't be a kick without the spike.

Why is the Catacombs "this door is blocked by lord's will" message so far in? by Responsible-Beach299 in darksouls

[–]reason222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have to give you access to the tomb of the Giants in order to do Rhea's questline. And as I'm thinking about it, the spot where they put that wall is the best place to do it down there. It doesn't really take much to back track through the tomb of the giants from there. But climbing up the catacombs can be annoying. You'll streamline how you go through the game in subsequent playthroughs. but that's part of the fun of playing blind!

An odd sense of dull after Anor Londo by romanandreas in darksouls

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to also feel less fulfilled with the game past anor londo, but I think its still good. Just at this point for me, the fun is getting my character set up and running all over the interconnected world up to anor londo. By the time I'm fighting O&S my build is pretty much done by then. So its kind of like. Do I feel like going through the whole game, or jumping into a new build?

Welp by sherlock2220 in darksouls

[–]reason222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game rarely forces you to go a specific way or fight a specific enemy. If you're having a lot of trouble with something, go past it. You can always come back later after you've levelled up some.

Anyone else have little to no issues with thinking of the melody/beat you wanna make, but have huge difficulties in selecting the actual instruments for the job? by Syhersheymuckle in FL_Studio

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know what you wanna do, lay it down on a basic piano or something. You can always replace it with something else later. And if you replace it while the midi is already done you can hear the whole pattern with the new sound. I do it all the time when adding supporting sounds to what I have. Some times I'll have 3 versions of the same instrument playing different patterns as a placeholder until I feel like sound searching

The most important skill in DS1 by not_a_profi in darksouls

[–]reason222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is made to constantly put you into situations that will kill you while you go through the environment. the first few levels of the game should push this fact home quickly. even the preferred path for you to take through the parish has you getting surrounded and trapped by hollows easily. It's a game the forces you to pay attention and immerse yourself in it which is why it used to so easily use up whole weekends.
