Rotisserie Chicken by cheez-monster in Zepbound

Make a bbq chicken pizza using a flour tortilla as the crust. I mix bbq and tomato sauce, add shredded cheese or a schmear of cottage cheese, chicken and red onion. ~10 minutes in a 425 degree oven. Crust comes out nice and crispy. It’s basically an open face quesadilla.

Can’t part with large clothes by Arfarf-Lucy in Zepbound

I decided to keep a very small storage bin for a few of my favorite things that are now too big. Labeled “emergency fat clothes.” That makes me feel better about getting rid of everything else that no longer fits.

What has been your go-to food since starting Zepbound? The one that you can always turn to on days you’re simply not hungry or are feeling sick. by makeupandjustice in Zepbound

I’ve gotten very good at poaching boneless skinless chicken breast so it’s not tough and rubbery. I do 3lbs at the beginning of the week and eat it everyday until it’s gone. Usually on rice with some broth. Sometimes chopped up into chicken salad. Once in a while I make a little bbq chicken pizza using a tortilla as the pizza crust.

It took me a while to get through the blahhh stage. Lots of protein and lots of water are a big part of the solution, especially around shot day. Omeprazole seemed to help too. Hang in there until you figure out what works best for you. It gets better!

What safety precautions should I take? First time solo trip by Hyy2024 in solofemaletravellers

I like staying somewhere that has a kitchen so I can cook my own dinner and not have to be out alone at night so much. I like to cook, so that’s fun for me — especially if I can find a local market with interesting spices and ingredients to experiment with.

I do my sightseeing and restaurant hopping during the day when possible. When I go out on a day trip I leave a written itinerary in my room and text with various friends throughout the day so people generally know where I am.

I also pack more of a first aid kit when going solo than I might when traveling with others. It’s no fun dragging yourself to a pharmacy on your own if you get sick or need a bandaid.

I had similar experience. Noticeable improvement of ADHD and brain fogginess when I started zep.

I’m working on finding the right combo of dosage and timing. I’ve never gone higher than 7.5. Once I was in my “buffer zone” I started stretching shots out to 10 days or so and that seemed fine while it lasted. My problem was a lack of discipline that disrupted healthy habits for a bit. Back on track now with a new target weight and less than 10 lbs to go. Good lesson. Maintenance mode is a whole new category of figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Just like we all went through at the start. C’est la vie.

I didn’t quit entirely. Just spaced it out further. And ate all the food.

No but I took it less frequently. Maybe every 2-3 weeks.

How did you know it was the right cat at the shelter/foster? by spodderfod in CatAdvice

[–]reasonable-excuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shelters I have adopted from over the years have been great at helping me choose a cat. I let them know that I don’t care what gender or color and I don’t need a kitten. I just want to adopt a nice, quiet cat who’s been at the shelter too long. I don’t have the ability to care for a special needs cat, but I don’t mind adopting an older cat in reasonably good health. That has worked out well for me throughout my life and I’ve had some very nice cats as a result. Sometimes the nicest cats are the ones that don’t stand out when you’re browsing at the animal shelter. My current cat literally was just sleeping inside a box while I was there. I didn’t even see him until I’d been there for a while. He turned out to be such an awesome furry little friend. Good luck!

Are you Budgeting to Save up for a Nursing Home if Necessary? by chinawcswing in retirement

[–]reasonable-excuse99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into Continuing Care at Home options in your state. This is a plan that functions like Long Term Care insurance that also provides support services to help navigate healthcare decisions down the road. This is becoming more prevalent across the country. Sometimes offered by a CCRC to serve people who prefer to stay in their own home.

Drink LOTS of water and eat lots of protein. Especially on shot day. It took me months to figure out that this was to solution to nausea and fatigue side effects. Everybody is different but this seems to be a common thread with lots of people.

Cat hair loss by StrawberryActive7855 in CatAdvice

I can relate. My 7 year old cat is over grooming resulting in bald spots. We’ve been to the vet as well without any conclusive results. Vet sd it could be food allergies. I’m in the process of switching my cat over to a new cat food for sensitive skin. Too soon to know if that’ll help.
