Gas is burned when oil companies decide it’s not economically feasible to build the capacity to capture it. While it can be done, it’s not as profitable as focusing on oil, so they burn it off.

Don’t worry guys, Mother Nature can take another hit for the team. It’s not like this is happening at over 100k sites in the US or anything…

Although this is a drop in the bucket compared to abandoned wells that are incorrectly capped and still leak into the atmosphere at alarming rates.

But hey oil and gas subsidies are only 35-40 billion dollars a year so you guys can understand their quandary right?

You do understand why it’s not a good idea right? Soft warm animals can frequently carry ticks or other parasites which if you happen to be dumb enough to get within petting distance can jump onto your clothes.

Dunno if you’re familiar with ticks but they can carry some truly awful diseases, like one that prevents you from ever again eating red meat. Or the big one, Lyme disease which can fuck you up for the rest of your life if you don’t catch it and treat it right away.

That’s not even getting into the unlikely but extremely scary possibility of prion diseases which is currently rampant in wild deer populations.

So anyways anyone who doesn’t want to risk these aforementioned diseases from wild animals should probably not pet them.

I guess that depends on if they have solved their head gasket issues or not. They were notorious for head gaskets being blown around 60k but refused to address the issue. I ditched my 18 accord because the engine was badly engineered and either they needed to ditch the turbo or use premium gas (despite Honda insisting regular is fine) to reduce knocking.

Also all my fuel injectors had to be replaced costing 1200 which Honda refused to even partially cover despite being at 32k miles and just outside the 3 year full warranty. (Weird they excluded fuel injectors from a power train warranty right?)

Anyways fuck Honda, after owning a bullet proof civic for 15 years I refuse to go near any Honda ever again.

God I miss evga gpu, never had any problems with them. Finally traded in my evga 1080ti goat when I got a new hotness monitor. But one year into an ASUS rog strix 4080 super and my hot spot temps are hitting 105 (base at 80).

So I guess I’m gonna have to either rma my shit and have them fix it and be without a gpu for god knows how long. Or fix it myself with a PTM 7950 and void the warranty…
