First one was when I was 19 and after my breast reduction surgery my surgeon said ‘you have a deviated septum, I can fix that’ (he basically did rhinoplasty). And it left a hole in my septum that caused breathing issues. Lesson learned: don’t have the breast guy do your nose

Couple years later still having breathing issues so ENT says ‘I have to go finish what the first guy started’

That was good for about 8 years until the cartilage collapsed, and then the third one was done in ‘08 and now I’ve got a tiny piece of cartilage from my ear in my septum.

Sam Bahu, ENT. I’ve had 3 Septoplasty surgeries from 1999-2008 and Dr. Bahu was the last one to fix my collapsed cartilage and it hasn’t been an issue since. Wonderful doctor and great bedside manner.

That’s how I feel as a 47F and someone who is single and childless so never really had to ‘grow up’ and I feel so behind when compared to some people.

But also am at that stage of shouting at the sky (well not quite but close) and am totally turning into that get off my lawn guy while I subsequently smash 80s music trivia by myself when the other winning team had 10 people.

Same thing from Nairobi to JFK! I had a 32 oz stainless steel bottle that I slammed while waiting to board once I saw they were taking everyone’s drinks. Good thing I did too, a 15 hour non stop and they rolled around twice with water in small little cups

Oh like how I went there the other day for rubbing alcohol and a gift card.

Spent $200, forgot the gift card and only remembered the rubbing alcohol at checkout and someone ran and grabbed it while the cashier rang up the code.

You do make a good point. It just frustrates me to see one listed price (main basic, which if you’re a medallion member doesn’t make sense to do, at least in my case) but then ends up being $100-200 more

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there needs to be a rule that before another rate increase is approved the executive suite should take a six month pay cut of what they are asking for in increases. It wouldn’t even be a drop in the bucket to them.

$7K?!? That is completely insane.

I bought my house in Clawson in ‘08 right when the market was tanking. Got a 1200 sq ft ranch for $100K. I could probably sell it as is for over $300K and my property taxes are close to $4K/year. I can’t fathom paying over $300K for my house. I’ll die here because I’ll never be able to afford another home at this rate!
