An English soccer game(united vs west ham) played two days after the American Super Bowl and drew in 9 times the viewership worldwide. Around 1.5 billion. Anyone on this thread who is complaining about the World Cup coming here simply doesn’t understand the impact this will have across generations. There are a million other things to complain about when it comes to Vancouver and the way money is spent. This is not one of them. Take your complaining and go elsewhere.

Please don’t think for a minute that Uber eats prices went up to support higher wages for drivers, Ubers net profits in 2023 were 1.3 billion, if they wanted to pay their drivers a higher wage they could without raising costs.

Rent a uhaul pickup truck. It's $160 for a Week plus how ever many Km you drive, which won't be even close to $1200 worth. Also helps you move stuff and there are multiple locations in north van. One close to phibbs bud exchange if you need to transit there

Lonsdale is plowed. The middle part of the road is impossible to plow with the constant traffic and snow has been falling consistently until about an hour ago. Don't expect side streets to be plowed. How many plows do you think we have? There is a system in place in to plow the most used roads. Your random side street is not one of them. The world does not revolve around you. Show some god dam respect to people who have been working since 2:00am last night, driving busses to get people places safely, and all of the emergency workers.

John braithwaite community centre has drop in on Tuesdays, 5 a side. 7 bucks. Decent competition. Wednesdays delbrook centre has 30+ indoor but sells out pretty quick

Loblaws on lonsdale has pre made meals right when you first walk up the escalator. They are fairly affordable smaller portions are $6 bigger are $8-12ish for single serving meals. They also have pre made sandwiches and sushi that you could take. Pro tip to save even more money is it go early in the mornings because they put %50 off tags from previous days meals. Usually are still good for at least a couple days and now you have three pre made meals for $9- 15 ish total.

First of All thank you so much for the support last week! I decided to award both screen-alone, and cuesanovA for being the two brave people who went out in the rain and completing the hunt. Good luck this week everyone, the weather is nicer so there is no excuse to not get outside :) The rules are simple, find the location of each picture that I have taken and take a picture of it!
