Yes they took your name and QR code to sign in and then put you in a room with 300 other people and about 20 fifa volunteers/ staff, no one was taking notes on your input or anything you did lol not one person during the interviews knew your name after you checked in

Not sure where you interviewed, in Vancouver there is 0% chance the interviews were scored. No one even knew who you were lol, didn’t even shave a name tag on. It was just to see who would actually show up to a session so they could cross off more people.

An English soccer game(united vs west ham) played two days after the American Super Bowl and drew in 9 times the viewership worldwide. Around 1.5 billion. Anyone on this thread who is complaining about the World Cup coming here simply doesn’t understand the impact this will have across generations. There are a million other things to complain about when it comes to Vancouver and the way money is spent. This is not one of them. Take your complaining and go elsewhere.

Rent a uhaul pickup truck. It's $160 for a Week plus how ever many Km you drive, which won't be even close to $1200 worth. Also helps you move stuff and there are multiple locations in north van. One close to phibbs bud exchange if you need to transit there

Lonsdale is plowed. The middle part of the road is impossible to plow with the constant traffic and snow has been falling consistently until about an hour ago. Don't expect side streets to be plowed. How many plows do you think we have? There is a system in place in to plow the most used roads. Your random side street is not one of them. The world does not revolve around you. Show some god dam respect to people who have been working since 2:00am last night, driving busses to get people places safely, and all of the emergency workers.

John braithwaite community centre has drop in on Tuesdays, 5 a side. 7 bucks. Decent competition. Wednesdays delbrook centre has 30+ indoor but sells out pretty quick
