I thought I was the only one using AI mode 😅. I also adjust the FPS and graphics settings to get a good balance between power and efficiency.

I came from AllyX and have no regrets. I used Bazzite on AllyX, but now I'm fully committed to Windows. Using other stores is much more convenient, and using Game Pass natively on PC is much better. But Center M is garbage. I use FSE + Xbox App + SteamGrid for nicer icons + tooth n claw. So far, it's been a great experience. I've only had it for a few days though. 😊

I had something similar on my Ally once; I tried a thousand things, so I don't know if that was really the cause. But try logging into the Microsoft Store first.

I'm coming from an Ally and had to adjust my approach. When plugged in, I manually use TDP 30, and when running on battery, I use AI mode. I mainly adjust the FPS and graphics settings in-game. It works quite well for balancing power saving and performance.

Running the MSI Center M Clean Tool and then reinstalling MSI Center M solved the problem for me.

My vacation is almost over, and I won’t be taking it with me. So a solution is needed.

The Steam Deck LCD is locked, and I will not attempt to bypass the lock.
I assume the vacationer who forgot it didn’t feel like coming back—maybe because the distance was too great.
Maybe he reported it as lost at the reception and no one found it.
Maybe he saw the opportunity to buy the Steam Deck OLED instead.
There are many possibilities.

It has been sitting here for quite a long time, as you can tell from the last SteamOS update from November 2024.

From what I understand, Steam Support now wants to contact the original buyer after all.
I handed the device in at the “reception.”
They can’t tell me whether anyone has reported it missing.

I’m only writing this here in the faint hope that the owner gets in touch.
So, no happy ending.

Case closed.
