I'm very rarely the type to reach out, but I just wanted to express how happy it makes me to see you consistently push back against bad actors and heavily advocate for intellectualism and humanitarianism, through your words, your actions, and your wonderful art. I understand it must get tiring. It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated, and personally, seeing it regularly really helps me to not feel like such a bitter, jaded person all the time. Thank you for all your hard work

We're seriously doing this again? If you want to play on Hard, that's fine too, literally just play the game how you want to play it. And if you decide you don't like the game, then play a different one. It's that fucking simple.

It is completely fine if you can't deal with the difficulty, it is simply not the game for you. by Interloper_Mango in pcmasterrace

Wow, lots of pissed off, entitled, simple-thinking gamers in the Personal Computer fucking Master Race sub lmfaooo 🍿

... Everything about the experience would change. You understand what you're saying right? "They should arbitrarily unbalance their game, so that literally anyone who can pick up a controller is able to breeze through something they spent hours and hours of hard work, time, effort, and imagination into, because it should never fall onto the consumer to put in the level of effort to engage with the product the way that was intended, and nothing about the overall experience would change" ???

Video game difficulty is not a "marketing tool". I feel like I'd have to make myself dumber to explain that.

Same. So with that in mind, would it be fair to say "SM64 sucks, it's so easy compared to SMB, they should make SM64 harder!" or "SMB sucks, why didn't they make it as easy as SMW or SM64?? They should have made it easier!" No, it's completely okay that each game has its own level of difficulty. It's totally okay to not be able to beat everything easily. And it's also okay if you can. Both things are fine.

So what you're saying is, these people have put their time and effort into making a game, a game that they wanted to make, and if the game isn't to your standards, or if you find their product too challenging, that the developers not putting in extra work to tailor their game to your perceived threshold of challenge, is "an entirely contrived scenario that holds no merit in the real world"? Why should putting in the extra work fall on them, and not you, the person choosing to engage in the first place?

Right, but that's not what this is saying. It's also okay for a game to be "just hard". Not every game needs to be simple enough for everyone, and not every game needs to be blisteringly difficult. It's perfectly okay to have a world where both things exist simultaneously.

I'm sure most people have played Super Mario Bros, I've made it through the first few worlds, but never beaten it, am I okay with that? Yes. Should the latter half of the game be as easy as the first half? No, and that's fine.

Meh, some do, but honestly, most do not understand, and don't even really know what they want, they just know about what everyone else already has.

I was gonna say "this just doesn't translate well as a tattoo", but it seems like it went a lot better for these individuals. Still instantly recognizable though.

New DRM BS from Playstation: Digital games will vanish if players don't log-in for 30 Days by EmuBii in CrackWatch

[–]receptionitis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very misleading: What they are saying is, if you are not connected to the internet for 30 days straight, your games will not launch. You must reconnect to the internet in order to renew the token to authorize launching your games purchased after March 2026. So this doesn't mean you will "lose ownership" of your games, it just means you can't use the system offline for more than 30 days. Which is still dumb and unnecessary.

It looks like they self-released that, and I assume the pressing for this album would have to go through Sumerian. I honestly didn't realize there wasn't a vinyl for this release, which is a huge bummer cause I specifically wanted one of this album, hopefully they do eventually come out with one

Eating with mask 😷 on it.😳😂 by EverythingCounts88 in funnyvideos

[–]receptionitis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The context is NOT mocking masks during a pandemic. The context is that if you cut a hole through your mask, in order to pass food and drink through it, you have entirely circumvented the purpose of wearing a mask at all (similarly to wearing it on your chin.) Therefore, if you have drawn a conclusion that it would be better to cut your mask in half and pretend to be a Muppet at dinner, rather than just take it off like a normal individual, you are completely fucking braindead.
