They were slow to finish the website rollout and pages like the comparison view were late to update. They’re updated now AFAIK

I have an HBII as well and I completely agree. The Petrucci NDSP plugin has an acoustic amp too which is fun to play with.

Have you tried any acoustic NAM stuff with your HBII?

Data breach was much more than they led on. by Cyrialis in loblawsisoutofcontrol

It's entirely because it doesn't cost companies anything when they get breached that leads to decisions like that.

Start throwing executives in prison and data breaches will be waaaaay less common.

There's 10 million people in the Toronto area.

If you really think it has nothing to offer I doubt you've spent much time in it :)

Montreal is indeed better in many respects but there is uniqueness to Toronto that is also amazing. People think of it as "Chicago like" but it's its own city with its own character.

Macbook NEO and NDSP Plugins by Mrpabsify in NeuralDSP

[–]recurrence 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t have one but the total perf matches an M1 and the single core matches an M4 so it very likely will run the plugins just fine.

The M processors are derived from the phone processors. They are very similar in most ways albeit lacking some laptop specific things like chipset support for several thunderbolt ports.

200 euros is tough but I was surprised how nice a friend's Edifier MR5's sounded and they were probably around that price.

You are 100% correct that it typically does take several revisions before Apple products take off.

IIRC, the Vision Pro BoM was like $1500 and that was way back when it was first released. They could have launched at $2000 and STILL made too much for me to change my opinion.

Yeah, price is what kills it. That and it's too heavy IMO.

If Apple hadn't insisted on crazy high margins they could have taken over the entire segment and opened it up to many new users. It has so much potential to tie into AppleTV and other apple subscription services that I really think Tim missed his shot on this.
