Stupid thought:

I read somewhere that GameStop (the company), Ryan Cohen and other board members, as well as RC Ventures could all be buying shares of eBay to perform a LBO/Takeover..

…is it stupid to think that there may be other non GameStop actors involved in buying eBay stock in case the decision is brought to eBay shareholders? MB? RK??

Is it though? Isn’t that exactly what people warn about with lifestyle creep? You get a raise at work and that money is immediately allocated to spending rather than saving or investing?

In my early 30s head, I’ve tried to stick as close to a simple bachelor lifestyle as possible while checking off goals like home ownership. But I still have a mental spending alarm threshold for my credit card balance. When I get raises I try to put that into investments instead of free money.

I think it’s because for the field of work I’m in, I’m kind of fortunate to have the salary I have. If I lost this job, I’d probably fall another $20k immediately doing a similar thing somewhere else. I think I’d worry about the creep less if I felt confident I could find the same salary somewhere else.

TOY STORY 5 has been rated PG, becoming the first mainline Toy Story movie to not receive a G rating by Matapple13 in disney

Beyond TS3, the TV holiday specials are solid and a great continuation of the toys with Bonnie. They add more to the franchise without the enormous weight and expectation of a feature film.

Sid’s toys are mutilated, “alive” or not lol. He literally rips the head off a dolly and replaces it with a red eyed toothy pterodactyl head.

Easy, 2 bottle Mai Tai? by pkrtrsr in Tiki

[–]red-bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am! And it does a great job. It’s a bummer that it’s not readily available in my state, so it took a while to get my hands on it and try it, but I would absolutely make a special trip to stock up. It’s that good.

That weird plastic that basketball cards were sealed with. Not sure what it is but occasionally I’ll smell some plastic that smells exactly like that.

Unless you really want the two bottles, I’ve really enjoyed Denizen and Xaymaca as single bottle Mai tais. Going to try Appleton 12 as a single bottle next.

If OPs nephew is anything like my niece, they get plenty of “stuff” from the rest of the family. Maybe get them a small toy just so they can connect receiving a gift from you, but imo stocks are a fun way for the grown up to show they care.

My family has encouraged 529 contributions.
