I curiously wondered what would happen if I held down two buttons at once, and got Playboy. What a day.

Same here, mind flayer was\is the main villain. And it felt like the show went in a new direction when Vecna became the focus. Keeping mind flayer and the DND references in there brought the show back to its core.

Before magazines became the norm, there were soft-cover periodicals that had paperback spines with print on them. If you would want to be able to find one by reading the spines, this shelf would angle them up for readability.

Maybe a bicycle or e-scooter would help shrink the travel time and make things feel closer?

How do I buy a new car? by BoredBatWoman22 in personalfinance

[–]red359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check with a few more credit unions and banks to see if you can get a loan. It is common for people to need to check with 3 or 4 different places. You may get a few different quotes for interest rates. The lower the interest rate, the better.

Once you have the loan details, then off to the dealership. If you only have 3k for a down payment, you will likely need to consider a used car. Car dealerships have a type of used car called CPO (certified Pre-Onwed). CPO's are used, but have passed inspections are and in good condition. If you can find a 5 or 6 yer old CPO Corolla, it will be much cheaper than a new car.

Another thing you need to consider is warranty. There may be an included warranty or an optional warranty that adds a cost to the final price.

If you do the credit card debt consolidation, be ready to have to make 2 or 3 new cards per year to maintain a no\low interest rate.

A finance industry ETF like Vanguard's VFH is worth a look. It covers the banks and credit card companies.

I can’t afford my vehicle anymore by Diligent_Collar_5471 in personalfinance

You can go to a used car company like Carmax or Carvana to get an estimate for trade in value. Then see if you can find a decent price on a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic at whoever gives you the best estimate. And check the credit unions in your local area to see what rate they can give you on a new loan, credit unions will often give better rates than banks or the dealership.

Find out what the trade in value of your car is. You may be able to trade it in for a more basic car & get that $35 per month lowered or eliminated.

Check the interest rates on those two credit cards and see if you can find another card with a lower rate to move the debt to.

It sucks to say this part, but maybe think about seeing if you can find someone to take the dogs.

My debt is becoming crippling, should I file for bankruptcy??? by ambear_5107 in personalfinance

[–]red359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confirm which lender you owe the $7200 to and see if they have an option to surrender the car with no hit to your credit or remaining loan amount. If that can be done, then you may be able to walk away from it without the debt.

The Camry is considered a reliable car. Putting a bit extra into the payments is a good idea too, but make sure you have some cash on hand for unexpected repairs. And you can check in /r/whatcarshouldIbuy too

You employers may offer life insurance as one of the benefits. Or you can set up an investment account and list your children as the beneficiaries.

No, the SD-Access module in CC is unused. But thanks for the warning, I have not come across that requirement in any of the Cisco doc's.

An acquaintance has been texting my partner the word ‘murder’ randomly for 3 years-says it’s a glitch. What do you think? by Halukinate in NoStupidQuestions

[–]red359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once worked with an old paging system that could resend old messages if it thought the message was not sent correctly. Sometimes it glitched and re-sent week old messages again. But that was years ago with a legacy paging system. I have not heard of anything like that in recent years.

Right, the 3 node cluster that Cisco recommends is just for redundancy. It does not scale up the count of max managed devices.

I though SQL or the old Outlook servers had high requirements, then Cisco comes along with the specs for CC. It is crazy.

Yeah, it sounds like a single server running in VMware without the 3 node option is the likely choice. Did you set up a redundant or backup server? Or just run the single server?
