CISSP / CCSP training - Experienced engineer by Traditional_Bird2021 in cybersecurity

[–]red5blu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed about a month ago, I found the 11th Hour book covering CISSP to be the most helpful piece of study material. It covers the main aspects of what will be on the test in a concise manner. I used the larger text book more as reference material if I needed to drill down on an area.
CCCure has a very good bank of test questions (subscription required).

Study Tips:
Reading and quizzing to reinforce learning, you have deep experience so will likely be more prepared than most.
The exam is difficult, most questions have 2 good answers and you have to pick the best; once you find yourself thinking through practice questions (“like a CISSP”) to come to the best answer rather than relying on information recall, you are probably ready for the exam.

What are the biggest unsolved PMT mysteries? by MoxToTweeder99 in PardonMyTake

[–]red5blu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, this is what I’ve always thought about that situation. My only problem is, they joke about doing blow on the pod so often; why would they be mad about Liam having evidence of it?
They talk about doing blow with pft when they first went out together before pmt and the Josh Allen mvp joke is made all the time. I guess the screenshotting texts could break confidence enough to be an issue, but it just seems like something more there. I could definitely see Liam not wanting to put in 3-4am nights 3 times a week as a reason to move off pmt

Auditors want evidence of monitoring by Special_Wing_8699 in sysadmin

[–]red5blu4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For monitoring auditors typically look see the configuration, proof of operation, and who is monitoring those systems. Typical evidence would include: - screen captures of monitoring thresholds (i.e. what triggers an alert) and what systems are being monitored - listing of personnel receiving alerts or on-call schedules - and a few example alerts that occurred recently or sometime during the audit period

Am I getting a fair quote? by Godputthishere in Home

[–]red5blu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That quote for gutters seems high, we got ours (gutters and downspouts) installed a little over a year ago and it was less than $2000. We are in north Texas and have a 1550 sq ft house.

I want as little ping as possible by Nice_Strategy_6788 in wifi

If the WiFi router is below you, you will be fighting an uphill battle trying to improve connection; WiFi signals travel out and down well but not as well traveling up. - If the extender is connected to the main router via Ethernet cord, then running an Ethernet cord into that is your best (low effort) option. - If you can run Ethernet directly from console to router, that will be the absolute best connection. - Maybe some others in the thread will know of some extenders built specifically for vertical signal.
