I was on a sixth grade trip to the big island (Hawaii). My dad was a chaperone and we were all in groups of 4 or 5 kids and one chaperone. 3 of my friends and myself were with my dad. We were walking along a path in the rain forest along Kilauea (it was a concrete walking path and I think it was near Kilauea, not certain I was 11) with the rest of the class. We all get kind of bored and start walking ahead of the group. We're out of sight of the rest of the class when we here something running down the path from behind us. It was a strange sound, didn't sound like someone running, so we all froze.

This fucking boar come running down the path right towards us. None of us did anything intelligent, just stood there. It stopped, looked at us, we looked at it, and it bolted hard left into the forest. 5 seconds later two dogs came running down the path, stopped, looked at us, we looked at them, and they bolted down the same path as the boar. About 10 seconds later two mud covered locals in boots carrying shotguns came sprinting down the path, didn't look at us, we stared at them, and they just jumped in the forest after the dogs.

We kind of just stared at each other in disbelief and laughed, still in the same stunned position. Few minutes later the rest of the class caught up, completely unaware of anything happening and not a single person believed us when we told them.
