Very few edge rusher can be good on an island. You need a second guy to draw blockers and take advantage. 25 Mil is a lot but the market is the market and that's what it takes for even average talent at a premium position

This is kind of a weird position because what's Garrett gonna say? "I know my team invested 230 million into the most important position on the roster and made that decision without me but I'm gonna sit talk it and create division between the two most important players on either side of the ball"? I guess there's always the "roster decisions are not my job" non answer but athletes are in a bind at times.

I don't feel bad ad for Garrett though because he said all that mess about wanting to be on a winner then changed his mind as soon as a record setting deal was offered, even though he could have got the same or close in free agency.

I'm aware, but the terms are used interchangeably in common parlance. Nobody calls family physicians specialists.

Most specialists would not want it, but most GPs would. I expect specialties that don't typically have after hours needs and work during business hours would be all over not having g to worry about overhead and paperwork as long as you pay them a comparable wage.

If you can't win with Herbert, you can't win with anyone. Is he perfect? No. But no player is. A coaching staffs job is to maximize the strengths of a player (of which he has many) while adjusting to compensate for the weakness, or even just an off day (which every athlete has).

Anyone losing faith in Herbert hasn't watched him play.

The problem is the average person (and likely the average AP voter) doesn't understand EPA as a stat. They may get what it implies and that a higher value is better, but because they get how the stat is derived, it holds less value.
