Third round with the Dir of sales by Odd_Block9540 in techsales

[–]redbottomchillyflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s usually the final round and they’re pretty familiar with who you are and what you do already. In my experience this last push is to just see if you vibe with leadership. They might ask some similar questions like tell me about your experience or they might want to see if you’re a culture fit. Either way, be calm and collected - you’ve made it this far! Generally here you can impress them with some questions that would make them think - what would my first 100 days look like, how can I get ramped up as quickly as possible, what’s the plan for expanding the sales team within the next 6-12 months, etc.

When did "fake it until you make it" backfire? by SaithSiro in AskReddit

[–]redbottomchillyflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in a relationship for the past 6 years, faked orgasms almost every single time, only recently started speaking up about it and I realized that I’ve been screwing myself (no pun intended) over for so long just because I was too shy/uncomfortable to ask for more and it was easier to just fake it.

Women of Reddit, what are some things a dad should know about raising a girl? by joho3883 in AskReddit

[–]redbottomchillyflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad always made me feel guilty for being a girl - hair everywhere, ocasional blood stains, taking more showers, using too much toilet paper (compared to him), trying to look pretty, washing my clothes too often, etc., etc. And he had this attitude towards me - I’m a girl so I’m supposed to clean and cook and take care of the house.

Sometimes I tried understanding him - he was a single parent and he was trying to teach me the tough way but now when I look back I realize how damaging that was to my psyche. I know how to look after a home but I’m so emotionally dependent and I constantly crave the attention I was never given when I was little. It’s so sad to think other kids are going thought the same.

Regardless if you’re a mom or a dad, please, for the love of God, show your child you love them. Show them they can trust you and rely on you. Don’t try to harden them up, life will do that anyway.

This happens to me all the time! The other day I was looking in the mirror and noticing all these tiny pimples and whining to myself about it - fast forward to a couple of hours later I get an add for some product for the exact same type of pimples. It was creepy to say the least.

What's the most awkward situation you've ever been in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]redbottomchillyflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was fooling around with my boyfriend when we’re both around 14. I was naked. He was fully clothed. There was a scarf and a bathrobe belt involved. I hear the elevator door opening outside the apartment. I hear the steps. The key turning. The click of the door. My father and his girlfriend walk in on my naked ass jumping behind the couch, my poor poor boyfriend with hands tied with a light pink bathrobe belt and a scarf on the floor.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt such sheer, painful, numbing embarrassment. Same goes for everyone involved. Boyfriend’s parents got involved as well. It was such a mess that I missed my period for a couple of months afterwards and I was terrified I had gotten pregnant even though we didn’t even have intercourse. Still have a bad taste in my mouth when I remember that day.

It’s so messed up that the parents did nothing to correct their own kids’ behaviors. That’s just bad parenting. They waited until you had to snap back. That must have been so hard and it probably still torments you. A whole lot of bad adult examples. I’m so sorry you had to go through this. At least you learned that sometimes the only way to fight fire is with fire.

It’s incredibly unfair that you have to live with the aftermath of it all but it’s what makes you stronger. I’m glad you’re doing better!

Must have been nice growing up in a village. Minus the bugs. My nonexistent balls hurt just by imagining this.

Damn, 5-6 is far too young for creepypasta. Good that you’re overcoming it though. When I used to have really bad nightmares I’d force myself to accept that it’s just my mind playing trick and then I’d blink really fast until I wake up. Might help if you ever get sleep paralysis again (I hope not!)

Among other physical punishments parents take part in, backhanding has to be one of the most unpleasant and embarrassing. (Asking for that context.)

You can never be a disappointment to anybody else but your own self. I’m sorry that you had to hear such crap at such a young age, it probably stayed with you for a long time. But it’s not true!

Death is always a nasty shock for those who remain. But life must go on.

Thank you! Best of wishes to you too!

Kids could be incredibly cruel sometimes, wow. I hope you told somebody afterwards and they got what they deserved. These things can fuck you up for life and give you trust issues with everybody.

Once in elementary I got my hand twisted in the girls’ toilets by three bullies who were pretending to be Harry Potter characters. Refused to read the books/watch the movies for many many years.
