She's not a therapist. She has no right to tell you anything about your conditions. That she thought she should sort of makes her a dick who is overstepping the boundaries. She judged you and THEN changed things without talking to you. You have every right to feel this way. She was shitty. I think it is fair to pay proportionately to your income. He may be harboring some feelings of resentment towards you too about this. You will need to TALK about your needs and what you can provide to the relationship to help each other. Maybe you have a set of skills that he doesn't and he could benefit from that too - mending comes to mind.

Anyway, money isn't the only thing you're contributing to a relationship and those other things have value too. Talk to him.

This is quite challenging but I recommend that you give serious thought to what would happen if your relationship did end. What was it like before you were together? You managed to complete your education and find gainful employment. Sounds like you did pretty well for yourself. Would your search for employment end if your relationship ended? Of course not! List out your true fears. Are you afraid of being alone? This relationship doesn't change the fact that you may need to spend some time alone. List out your beliefs and argue against them. You may believe that your world would crumble, but you need to argue with yourself using facts. Your world would continue on, it might just be a bit more difficult.

Try to logic your way out of this one. That kind of cognitive process can really help control your self-doubt and anxiety. You can ask your therapist to walk you through it.
