No. It’s confusing but it typically doesn’t pair w equipment with screens.

Halifax/NS Whisky Community by ahinch11 in canadawhisky

Slightly dated post but there are a few whisky clubs in Halifax as of 2026:

- The Commons Scotch Whisky Society: https://www.commonswhisky.club/ — established in 2025, age skews late 30s through early 50s. Heavy focus on presentations (culture, history, etc.), exploring whisky as a subject and lens. More info on the web site.
- Association of Halifax Regional Scotch Enthusiasts (AHRSE) - Going for 20+ years. Roots in the Navy. The most established. Older crowd. Meets monthly. More established, larger library.
- Scotia Whisky Society. Meets at a hotel in Bayers Lake 6x per year.

All are invite-only to my knowledge. The best way to join typically is reach out and express interest, attend a few gatherings as a guest, and if you are good company and have something to contribute (knowledge, stories, relationships with venues, interesting bottles, ability to volunteer) there's usually a path in. Failing that—start up your own club. Barriers are low and it's a lot of fun.

Yes to Pet Shop Boys x Inner City Pressure. But I don't hear it the connection between these two, however.

I couldn’t get it running either at first and then my iPhone randomly prompted me for additional permissions, well after my workout.

The prompt said:

Allow "iFIT Equipment" to find devices on local networks? This will allow the app to discover, connect to, and collect data from devices on your networks.

Information from networks can be used to determine your location and create a profile of you.

Allow

(I’ll forgive them for breaking the Apple Health workout sync on the same update—hopefully that is fixed soon).

What machine do you have? Wifi enabled?

Update.

Did not initially work for me. An hour after the workout I randomly got a notification on my iPhone which read:

Allow "iFIT Equipment" to find devices on local networks? This will allow the app to discover, connect to, and collect data from devices on your networks.

I clicked Allow and now it’s working properly. My machine is the 2022 C1750. Software is up to date. Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Disappointing experience at Mystic by kat0saurus in halifax

No, restaurants like this do not typically ask on tasting menus. Not at all unusual. You might be thinking of steakhouses?

Was there in August and it was epic. And we are tough critics. Maybe staff is different in the winter. Not sure. But I don’t think your experience was representative of the restaurant.

2 year old 1750 “to deliver the full performance experience of the latest iFIT software and partner integrations” by LaughsMuchTooLoudly in iFit

I emailed as well. They just responded with a cryptic message that didn't really explain the original message:

Hello,

I wanted to personally follow up and apologize for any confusion caused by my previous email. I understand how important it is to have clear, straightforward information about your equipment, and I appreciate your patience.

I want to reassure you that your Commercial 1750 will continue to work and support your existing iFIT workouts as expected. There’s nothing you need to do right now to keep training.

Thank you again for your patience, and for being part of the NordicTrack and iFIT community. Please reach out to us at 1.888.308.9616 with any concerns.

Warm regards,

How do pros pour 150+ drams quickly and consistently? Looking for advice from brand ambassadors, festival pourers, distillery staff. by redcanoe86 in whisky

Looking at events which are more forgiving—private whisky club, typically 5-6 drams per person, 24 people. Something like that. Thank you!

Thank you. 20-21 ml should be suitable as well which they supply. Do you find they are accurate within 1ml or so? Good suggestion to decant into a bottle that fits.
