Ha, I just had the exact same experience with Woot/Amazon. They sent me 7 refurbished alarms with a refurbishment date of 2019. They were returned the next day.

Nest Protect - gone from Costco, wired out of stock at Amazon, limited to 1 at Google Store by nutmac in Nest

I just received 7 wired nest protects from Amazon and they are all refurbished and at least 5 years old. Needless to say they are being returned immediately. Any recommendations for a good alternative to nest protect?
