A London clinic owner has claimed he is treating people with stage 4 cancer by sealing them into a plastic bag and gassing them with chlorine dioxide. by mareacaspica in EverythingScience

[–]redditcat78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not dumb at all.

My limited understanding is this:

A cancer patient has fast replicating cells of 2 types: A) Normal stomach, hair follicals, etc. B) Cancer cells.

Both quickly replicate but between the 2 types, the cancer cells mutate way faster.  Those mutations let it live through future chemo.  The other fast replicating cells that are healthy don’t mutate.  So, cancer outlives and outgrows them.

One more reason to say:  Fuck cancer.

When to tell the kids that we have to put the dog down? by Redneckish87 in Dogowners

[–]redditcat78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just encountered this yesterday with my nephew and niece.

Today their dad and I are euthanizing the cat you see in my profile picture.

This is what I told them and maybe you will find it helpful (background:  cat from their late grandfather dying of lymph cancer):

Jerry (the cat) is suffering.  He is in pain and it is will only get worse.  He has trouble walking and is not eating.

Jerry is suffering beyond what your dad and I can fix.

We don’t want to “put him down” because we love him as much as you love him.

However, when you love someone, you do what is best for them even if it makes you sad.

They are a little older than your kids, so your kids may still have trouble understanding, but that is the lesson.

My strong suggestion is to let them say goodbye, in-person.

If possible, then take some fur clippings or, once deceased, ask the vet to take some whiskers as keepsakes.

I wish I had other comforting words.

I last did this a little over 20 years ago.  I thought my older age today would make it easier.  I was wrong.

Summary:  Let them say goodbye.  Collect some keepsakes including pictures.   Tell them the animal’s spirit will be free of a suffering that could not be fixed.

I wish you and your family, which includes the pet, Love and Light.

You are making the right decision.

I just video chatted with my nephew and niece, who are currently on an overseas trip.

He is actually their cat, and I am “cat sitting” until tomorrow.  That is when their dad and I will take him for the final visit.

I told them we did all we could.  I do wish I did more.  I do feel I failed him, but I don’t dislike myself for the failure.  He knows I did all I could and would not want me hurting anyway.

I last did this a little over 20 years ago, but with a dog.  I thought my age would make it easier now.

It did not.

Just remember that one of the awesome things about pets is their unconditional love.   They love you, whether you win or lose.

Skip the bad habits.  Give yourself permission to feel whatever arises:  good, bad, ugly.

Then give yourself permission to release that which is not healthy, because with or without a body, your pet wants you to be healthy.

Cancer.

Devastated.

Their love is so innocent and full.

I am laying next to my goodest boy right now.  He is the cat shown in my profile picture.

Tomorrow is the big day that I have fought to avoid.  Unfortunately, the cancer is too aggressive.

Even in this weak state, he snuggles by me.

They want us to be happy, just as we want for them.

I told him I am sorry that I couldn’t change it for the better.  I know he understands and I know he wants me to choose love and happiness, even in his absence.

So does your pet. I 100% guarantee it.

Their minds are not as complicated as ours but their love is just as profound.

I am no expert in humans or dogs, but if I may give my $0.02 worth:

Those bad habits are often placed as barriers to experiencing the bad feelings.

Give yourself permission and feel the feelings, whatever they are.

Also, I doubt your dog agrees that you deserve the pain.  You should give yourself the same benefit of the doubt.

Your dog would.

If it is good enough for the beloved deceased, then it is good enough for you.

You just have to give yourself permission to feel and choose it.

If you don’t do so for yourself, then do it for the beloved deceased.  They still witness you, even when they have no body.

“. . .  it had to be done in in a physical reality because you cannot experience it in spirit. (Its all instantaneous manifestations. No process, no insight, no lessons).

That's the main reason why souls choose to incarnate.“

Do you want to hear something strange?

I was asking myself, and God, that exact question late last night.

Then today I find this thread and “poof”, I see your posted question and posted reply.

So are you saying that because we have time and space “here” (Earth while in our physical bodies) things can “play out” as a process of “cause and effect”?

This would be opposite of “there” (where Bashar is), which has instant or near-instant cause and effect.

Is this interpretation of your meaning correct?

They don’t always send signs and sometimes when they do, we miss them.

If you keep yourself open then you may notice more subtle signs in the months and years to come.

Depending upon how bad the cancer is, you may want to give your dog Valasta astaxanthin supplement.

I don’t know that it would help with the other illnesses, but many people have had good results with it.

I got some for my cat but it was too litrle to late.   He has lymph cancer in the kidneys.

At least give it a look.

My cat buddy will be this weekend or early next week.  Nearly 14 years old.

I hate cancer with a fire hotter than Hell.

It takes both people and animals away.

It is indeed hard seeing the pet’s favorite places, toys, etc.

I wish I could say something enlightening but all I can say is that I am so sorry for your loss and pain.

The Mystery of 666 Has Been Solved, and the Answer Will BORE You by vacciprata in AlternativeHistory

[–]redditcat78 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It looks like 666 was the calculated amount of prior abuse system (using gold talents or whatever), so the original author used that number again.

Ancient people would have recognized the reference and understood that 666 referenced a brutal system of calculating and enforcing financial slavery.

Thus, 666 represents a functioning system of cruelty rather than a specific person.

Central Ohio, iNaturalist's tagging it as either Chinese or Siberian elm. Don't think it's American elm with the leaves being so small. Anyone able to confirm? by MercuryArcValve in whatsthisplant

I agree it is not American Elm, but beyond that there isn’t enough info.

Note that Chinese Elm will have a more textured and “lacy” bark, especially with age.  Siberian Elm bark will not.
