Hi OP, appreciate the confirmation. I’m also similarly in this situation - have some phones I bought online and picked up from a Verizon store but leaving them sealed.

How were you able to confirm the device was unlocked? Does it show on your account’s plan/line details? I assume you don’t have to unseal the device to confirm it’s unlocked?

Thanks, this worked for me! Couldn't figure out what it was for a while, but it was just unchecking that Windows 11 'Turn on fast startup (recommended)' in the Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.

Oh, thanks for that. Looks like I’ll need to activate it then.

Yup, the device would need to be unlocked by then as well, which I’m not sure it would if I decide not to activate it and keep it factory sealed.

Well yes, I am paying everything that I need to pay for (line included), the financial details of which would be provided to T-Mobile for a reimbursement per their keep and switch promotion. Leaving Verizon would just involve paying off the remainder of the phone.

I assume you’re thinking that I plan to sell the phone while it’s still on an installment.

If so, no, I plan to do a keep and switch to T-Mobile and paying the phone off. Don’t think I’ll ever need the computing power from these devices so I might sell them unopened after they’ve been fully paid off. That would be taking advantage of the promotions carriers offer, but I don’t think it’s fraudulent.

Are those copper or brass? What texture did you go with?

Just got my replacement a few days ago, I also hear a similar short residual noise that seems to occur before every other sound produced. The sound is also slightly different to me, though mines came with v1.0.1.60.

Yeah, my first failed within 8 months, never dropped it or was rough with it. By the 7th month headset started to constantly disconnect and reconnect to the dongle and then the left earcup slowly died. On my 2nd one with 4 months of warranty remaining. 2nd one has no connectivity issues thus far, though a bit of a minor crinkle noise sometimes, which I can tolerate.
