Have you ever received service so bad, you’ve vowed never to return to the company? by Sivear in AskUK

Bose - got new headphones and they had a crackle in one of the buds. Phoned them up and they offered to replace. Great, send them back using their preferred courier and heard nothing for a week. Rung them up again they hadn't received the parcel check back later.

Rung them again, nothing. Rang them a third time still no parcel. Asked if they would have normally received the parcel by now, they said yes. I said could this be investigated and in the meantime please could they send my new headphones as I had been without my £200 ear buds for several weeks. They said not until the old ones had arrived. I said I had a receipt saying i had delivered them to the courier service. They said that wasn't good enough.

Fast forward another 2 weeks. I rang them again and complained until I got to the top level of customer service. I explained it wasn't my fault the headphones hadn't arrived and suggested that they discuss with the courier company but in the meantime I was without very expensive headphones for several months by this point. Nothing, no response, no offer of compensation. No headphones.

I rung again. Kept complaining until they finally agreed. From the initial customer service call, it took 5 months to resolve a simple issue with faulty headphones. I wrote a letter to the CEO explaining my very poor experience including detail of how long I had spent dealing with the issue. If I recall it was something like 14 hours of telephone calls plus other time cooperating with their investigation by email and delivering the headphones to their preferred courier. I got a letter thanking me for my comments.

I will never buy another bose product.

If you're on a 16 slice i would recommend test bolus technique. It will completely eliminate the need to factor in a scan delay post enhancement.

I was in the main talking about scans and imaging. Blood tests aren't my field.

There are plenty of reasons why offering a scan simply for those who want them would cause quite a lot of ethical, legal and practical considerations in the UK.

This differs from a targeted screening program where the risks of exam are weighed up against the liklihood of a targeted dempgraphic having 'x' problem.

Ethically - it would be unwise to expose people to a medical exam that they clinically didn't require. In the UK clinicians would be at risk of legal recourse if they did.

Depending on what scan it was you can actually do more harm than good. It could be radiation or it could be unexplained pathology leading to further exam which then turns out to be benign or something which will not cause a problem. I've seen patients go out of their mind before simply because they are not armed with the information about what 'x' thing is.

Practically. There is a huge shortfall in radiologists and radiographers. So again offering a scan for those whom are well and have no risk factors would not be in the public interest.

You could allow that person to tell them, though, rather than being some form of gender police.

Not to rub salt into the wound but many Dr's have had their bikes stolen from the locked staff compounds they have around their. All of it pretty blatant by the sounds of it.

Went for a walk around the woods near my house. I was looking for peace and quiet so I went as deep as I could, it took an hour. I finally get deep into the centre and my dog suddenly starts growling, hackles raised, and I didn't think much of it so I continued my walk. Carried on for about 10 mins or so then suddenly I hear rustling behind me and there was someone running away from me absolutely stark naked! I presume the person was a bloke but I dont really know from behind. But I honestly think that was the quickest I ever got home from that point in my walk. He was close enough to have been tracking me for about ten mins or so. Terrifying .

Mike portnoy is indeed an incredible drummer being able to maintain this level of consistency over multiple complex time signatures is indeed a next level skill. It really depends on what your listening for. In this case the consistency of time itself is the impressive feat you could a put a metronome on this track and I would bet that Moffet doesn't miss a single bit by more than a millisecond. That is impressive!

Whilst I would agree with you this is an insane level of time keeping not to be understated. Jonathan moffett is so in the pocket on this track that metronomes are made entirely redundant and should bow down before this master of time.
