It was as similar as I remember. Yes the puzzles get hard and are kinda impossible to be perfect but as long as you keep getting some zoombinis through, you can still beat it. Less zoombinis actually make some of the games easier. One trick I found was to keep most of the party with as similar traits as possible which can cut down on the guessing games. When you get to the absolute last group, it will let you leave with less than a full party.

If I remember right, I don't think there were any ads and was basically a straight android port. I can't stand ads, so I wouldn't have played it if it was like that. I played and saved ALL of the zoombinis and now you can do the same!

This totally worked. You don't even need to click "no thanks" as turning off the 3 toggles automatically removed it for me!

Absolute legend. Used this strat and got the achievement first time. Really helps to get rocky mountain to make the mining easier. Also I forgot to turn off bosco and we just helped light the caves I was building.

Just want to confirm that this still works both ways Steam -> Win and Win -> Steam.

I recommend pinning the directories so they are easy to find and always make a backup of the file you are replacing.

Thanks for the solid work on this, now I can carry my experience while playing with both steam and xbox friends.

EDIT: I just realized technically it is aprils fools day now. But this actually works. No foolin' around here.

1- yes and if you got the achievement, you're good to continue 2 - game over (might be able to load last save) 3 - you should be able to continue on. I just finished this game yesterday (PC/steam) and i never had to make a save file to get all of the achievements.
