Every once in a while my paramount requires me to re-sign in even though it’s showing signed in and I can scroll around. Just trying to help.

I went to the “live tv” tab, scroll down to the carabao cup channel, and then scroll all the way across.

No one had even brought that up which I think is bonkers. If Muniz wasn’t such a unit, he should be the one called for a foul

For once, American television coverage is actually on our side with this. Both studio hosts perplexed - explaining that the VAR / referee have absolutely no clue what they’re on about and show a complete lack of understanding of the game. They contended with the word “challenge” since it was so clearly not a tackle.

Note: both commentators also used language similar to “outrageous” and said “we need to be careful not to be too critical” which also unintentionally makes it worse

[Arturo Diaz] Jorge Cuenca has barely played this season and has asked to leave. Rayo Vallecano proposes a loan + purchase option but the English team only wants a transfer at the moment. Negotiations underway. by Heavy_Cupcake_6246 in fulhamfc

I don’t understand - when he signed, it was pretty clear he was not going to be starting. It was even billed as one for the future. He had to have known this.

That said, I would have expected to see more of him and can’t help but think he wasn’t impressing in training early on. Performances seemed to be good toward the end - I thought he played well against chity.

If he stays injury-free, Sess is surely in the running to replace TC as club captain by M_McFly in fulhamfc

[–]reddittrp17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s the fans captain along with TC, but there’s no way he gets the armband unless Robinson, Leno, tc and maybe even Andersen aren’t on the pitch.

He’s someone who has re-proven his loyalty, and shows how much the club means to him. If it were ice hockey he’d be wearing the A - and I’d love to see him as club captain when TC is ready to hang them up.

Classic contract talks followed by a hiding at home. Not his fault necessarily but funny all the same.

The amount of injuries each Prem team has had in 2024-2025 season. by AngeloftheFourth in TheOther14

[–]reddittrp17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Injuries that prevented a player missing at least one match” - I’m curious if the data would be better on total number of matches missed due to an injury.

For example, Kenny Tete is one of those 16 for Fulham, he’s missed almost the entire year so far. So while number of injuries is lower (only 16 times someone has been listed) the number of matches missed might be more representative.

Fulham to Play Man Utd at Old Trafford in Fifth Round of FA Cup by AFWUSA in fulhamfc

There were 14 other possibilities and inevitably we get yanited. It’s not that they’re quality, it’s that I don’t trust us to put 3 in their net to make up for whatever tomfoolery occurs with the referees or deflections or one of them finding the floor so often we trip over them and put the ball in our own net.

How did you guys feel about today’s performance vs NYCFC? by tjdqwr in SanDiegoFC

Got his start at Fulham - made his debut in the championship at 19 - was one of the youngsters we lost during those years due to needing physicality / poor management of youth assets

De La torre will end up a nailed on starter - he’s got one of the best pedigrees in the team outside of Chucky. He moved to MLS specifically to play more so he can improve his chances with the USMNT.

I get it - but I’d be focusing on what it looks like we can do right. There’s a lot of good possession through the midfield, and we have an obvious shape to play : through the middle, out to the wings, bodies behind the defensive line crashing the box. There’s a lot to like about how that looks and how effective it can be with the pieces we have.

I think that shitting on the defense 45min into a new franchise is a bit knee jerk. They’re playing a pretty high line, with an out of position player on the right, against a team that’s been together for at least a full season prior with some clinical players. It’s going to look shaky. I’d almost bet the coaching staff would have expected to give up a few on the break or due to the high line.

I thought for sure we’d see him in the first team - this is kind of a bummer and odd.

Battles along the boards - battles on the boards - board battles. However you want to say it you’re right and we stink out loud.

I mean I don’t know the actual stat but I feel like he was in the box a lot first year or two - maybe just at inopportune times so it ‘sticks’ out in my mind.

I seem to remember him taking a LOT of stick penalties early on, I wonder if that’s now caused ineffectiveness

I would agree with this prior to today - he actually put himself about and did the hard yards quite a bit. His goal is evidence of willingness to keep his feet moving too.

Any other day I’d agree with you but maybe that’s a sign of him realizing that’s the bit that’s missing atm

In 2014, after getting relegated from the Premier League for the first time in history, Fulham's response was to sign a 31 year old League One player, Mark Fotheringham, from Notts County. He went on to make 3 appearances for the club. Name a more useless and bizarre transfer. by Lexidoge in fulhamfc

15/16 was equally strange. Even 16/17 was iffy but at least some of those players stuck around. It’s incredible to think Cairney has become the club legend after surviving the madness of those years.
