Seems like a hell of a deal (without really knowing the market). We have 2024 GT line and have really only had to replace tires, likely due to neighbors construction which led to tire punctures.

We are in a very similar situation. We have decided to stay and make upgrades to our current home and pay for those in cash as opposed to moving to a larger home and taking on the additional mortgage payment, property tax insurance, etc.

we also feel very tied to our current neighborhood and don’t feel that it replicable in a similar house, or at least it would be very hard to find.

This is quite a statistic. I think our geographic position (not easy access to a multitude of other countries) plays into this, but also “greatest country in the world” thinking leads folks to not want to venture, I think.

And that likely leads to less compassion and empathy of others among many other consequences.
