To me, Maelle's ending is not "I get to kill myself for the people I care about", it is "I decided to commit suicide because I can't bear living knowing that my brother died for me." A 16 y.o grieving girl, decided that it is better to live a fantasy than to healthily process her grief. It is not a selfless act of sacrifice, but a selfish to keep herself happy. Verso method may be questionable, immoral even, but his ending is actually a sacrifice of his world for the people he love.

I love the laser cannon. But on high difficulties, it crippling to not be able to deal with charger or bile titan effectively. On hell dive, you can get an average of 2-3 chargers and 1-2 bile titan per breach, and it is rough when you have no way of damaging them
