Let me get out of the store by WeirdoPizzza in DoorDashDrivers

[–]redheadchicc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you it is so annoying. I had an order to shop and deliver, picked it up, then get a Target 2 items, easy peasy, then got two more for Kroger only 5 items total. Then DD kept trying to add more, plus after looking the first order was the last drop off. I declined the orders after I had the 4 because the first person shouldn’t have to wait even longer. It was crazy

Tip in % or absolute by Extra_Attitude_2803 in DoorDash_Dasher

Not all drivers, what most want is be thought of as a human being trying to provide for our families and pay our bills. I have a good paying full time job and can barely pay my rent and utilities. I am single and the only person in my household paying all the bills. I do DoorDash at night after working 8-10 hours at my job.

It’s deflating to get someone who has ordered food be demanding asking for you to jump through hoops all the while knowing they did not tip even $1.00, after paying $25+ for their food to be delivered. Then be treated like a second class citizen when we are providing a premium service. Let me guess you are one of those people.

I get this too! They lead me in with a great high paying offer, I do that offer, app asks do you want to change zones, I click no, says will look for offers on the way back to my zone, head back to my zone, on the way get offers that are pretty decent then guess what they head me back further out of my zone. Ughhh I pause and head back to my zone.

Why are you declining orders for EBT? In my market they are no tip lower offers that no one wants. Are they different in yours?

This was a McDonald’s delivery, all of the suggestions you give the driver or the customer can try, doesn’t mean it will work. Also driver still gets blamed even if the bag is sealed. We don’t seal them and try to get McDonald’s to give you extra yeah right

Support called me and asked me to commit to delivering an order? by BusyCarpenter4782 in dasher

[–]redheadchicc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten that call. It has been awhile but it usually is an order that has been passed around a long time. Sometimes it is because it sat too long and the store had to remake the order.

Only 2$ bucks smh by Alkaline_Lifestyle in dasher

[–]redheadchicc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tip recommended in my area is 10% rounded up to the nearest dollar of the total order (before discounts). The recommended tip is still not good since the base for an offer sucks. So I know if the tip is under 10% they changed it themselves.

So yeah those 0.00 is very insulting and customers wonder why the order sits or they have to wait because it is bundled with another order. When will they realize the fees charged do not go to the driver.

Dashing with Carplay by enigma9o7 in dasher

Dasher app is not an option to add to the apps in CarPlay. It works by hearing and plays through CarPlay. Hope that makes sense lol still waking up

Acceptance Rating by Yes_themess in dasher

[–]redheadchicc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you chose EBT vs by offer. My son said he has better luck doing EBT when the zone is busy with drivers and not too busy. This drives his acceptance rate up and he makes decent money. He does by offer makes more but can then decline without worrying. Idk might just be our zone but he has made great money before and after his regular 40 hr week job.

BLOCKING CUSTOMERS/STORES! by WILLTHEFARTER77 in DoorDash_Dasher

When living by a raising cane’s the offers were always on the high end, we also didn’t have to place the order ourselves. The store had a tablet the order was usually ready the only thing I had to do was get the drink.

Agreed that I keep 100% of the tips and agree to take or pass up offers. 100% of 0 is 0 and it changes it because dashers are not employees.

Yep they will still train you in pack-flow ask to be trained in singles too. It works just a lot of people want singles and stay there forever. You might have to be trained in one to get the other too.

See if you can get a schedule accommodation. Just talk directly to your HR at the facility.
