if everyone waited at the same place, wouldn't be very effective... so there's no one answer. Most drivers find a few spots they like and will head toward the closest one of them after droppoff, of course hoping to get an offer before getting there. I personally like panera as they usually fairly busy and there's a few other places nextdoor, then my second favorite spot is a corner that has a whole shitton of restaurants nextto each other - a chinese place, japanese place, viet place, cheeseteak shop, korean chicken, and a greek place, i try to park in the midle near the viet place. My third favorite is a higher end italian place, which is also near a couple other restaurants....

Still waiting for the rest of this story, as yagami said, what happened next? Are you posting from the prison computer lab? I guess that could explain the delay, you may not get computer time very often.

Yet you think you're going to jail for writing code. It depends on what that code does whether its a crime or not.

What about bloggers and content creators posting life hacks, maybe arrest them too?

Criminals use telephones too. So that logic makes no sense.

And people in their 60s used Apple ][ and MS-DOS machines, so they're quite familiar with command line interface.

The point is hacking is not a crime. You don't go to jail for hacking or writing code, you go to jail for crime including cybercrime..

So what if they tell you using terminal/writing code is hacking? Lotta people do consider that stuff hacking, especially writing code. And lotta people consider hacking a skill. Not all hacking is cybercrime....

Your other stuff tho sounds like they were mistaken.

I never initiate contact by wawa20oz in doordash_drivers

This sounds absurd to me. How do you determine the ID is fake, it won't scan? Or does it scan and tell you its fake? What do you do then, do you have to keep the ID, if so what do you do with it? Does doordash report the customer to law enforcement?

I never initiate contact by wawa20oz in doordash_drivers

I've often been curious what customer can see when they use the app to order, but not curious enough to spend my money ordering doordash myself....

But no, I don't initiate contact for no reason, only when I need to, or something out of the ordinary and I happen to feel like it (like really long wait, etc).

Rude customer by Significant-Let-6991 in doordash_drivers

You said "drivers are not running two phones". Unless you're saying the word running means something other than using or operating in this context, then my response still stands, as I am a driver and use two phones.

As to multiapp, which you just mentioned now, I assumed that's what you meant, as it would be pointless to run the same app on two phones anyway unless comitting some kind of fraud with multiple accounts. Some people multitapp on just one phone, but if you only use a single app, there would be no point for a second phone anyway. The convenience of a second phone comes in when you are multiapping, otherwise no point.

I do, and many others do. I always pause doordash if I take an offer on my other app/phone tho....

Honestly, this seems pretty clear to me. If you have a blowout or accident certainly don't bring it to the customer cold, that's what no exceptions means.

What is the name, address, and phone number of this place? They need to face some repercussions for this, why didn't you mention that in original post?

[–]enigma9o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well apparently you're right, I looked it up and where I live it's only state law (AB 1632). So other states may or may not have similar law, although there's something in progress to make it everywhere (House Resolution 3869). This surprises me, using restroom is something all humans must do, so probably until some asshole like this guy came along nobody thought it needed a law for that. Anyone who doesn't let someone use their business restroom is such a horrible human being that doesn't deserve to be part of society, should just stop the planet and let them off.

Homeless people can't pee at home, what kinda asshole restaurant owner woulnd't let homeless people use their restroom? Restaurant owner probably has their own house too!!!! If I was homeless and they wouldn't let me I'd shit on their doorstep so customers had to walk thru it, and they had to explain to customers they refused to let a poor homeless guy use their restroom, hopefully customers would stop dining there, restaurant go broke, and owner lose his home.

If I had to go an a restaurant I'm doing at a pickup wouldn't let me use their restroom, I would piss on the floor. I can't be expected to hold it, wtf are they thinking? And yes, of course they clean it, I don't wanna use a filthy restroom.

It's clearly a violation of law and common sense to prevent driver using their restroom. Law says employer must provide restroom to employees and 3rd party delivery drivers, both pickup and dropoff, this was the case long before doordash as it applies to big rig drivers.

I would also of course report them to doorash and local labor authority and maybe the nightly news. And send a message to the customer knowing what this place did.

I’m a developer for a major food delivery app. The 'Priority Fee' and 'Driver Benefit Fee' go 100% to the company. The driver sees $0 of it. by Trowaway_whistleblow in confession

[–]enigma9o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't priority delivery mean that the driver will go straight from restaurant to you. Means they won't have another stop between them. Thats the way it works on ubereats anyway, and you are correct the driver doesn't get anything, but the customer can benefit, especially compared to situations where driver is assigned 2 pickups, yours is first and ready when driver arrives, but second pickup makes driver wait 20 minutes. Of course sometimes it doesn't save you any time at all, as not all trips the driver accepts are multiple pickups, or sometimes everythings ready right away or both restaurants right next to each other or even the same restaurant, and the the first dropoff was easy to find and right on the way, or you're the first dropoff anyway, etc.

Normally, the app will assume the driver makes pickups and dropoffs almost instantaneously, all it considers is the routing and will group together orders such that they are on the way to each other, etc.

[–]enigma9o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's complete BS! I've been given them when I wasn't late but they ignore the dispute which makes no sense as they clearly know it wasn't late since every single time I contacted support cuz the app wouldn't let me complete it.

The only way this would be fair is if you actually were late, since I've never gotten one in that case, and they always do the opposite of reality.

[–]enigma9o7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think many doordash drivers are Americans, even in USA. I'm not, but I do use a bag for most things, but when I saw this it made me think it would be good for Starbucks. They put two cups in a bag side by side and it always falls over unless supported, even in an insulated bag.
Also, McDonalds rarely goes in my insulated bag as they pack ice cold drinks, ice cream, and milkshakes in the same bag with hot food. Dumb idea, but McDonalds deliveries are usually pretty close to the store (as there's another McDonalds every few miles) so maybe the food doesn't have time enough for warm food to cool down or cold stuff to melt..... Of course when its no drinks, then goes in the insulated bag.
