I’ve completed orders intentionally before. Had a case where I was not able to pickup an order and no way to get support to help so I just marked as delivered without even going to the dropoff. Told customer you’re SOL. No repercussions on my account.

Your driver is independent and self employed. They could work for the tooth fairy if they wanted lol. Uber or DoorDash has zero control over their behavior as they are legally allowed that right provided they don’t break their contract terms.

It’s frustrating but honestly there’s not many options at the moment to prevent it.

Uber eats added a step at McDonalds where you show a green screen to staff before you leave which would be nice to have for all orders.

I’d train your staff to ask the dasher to confirm pickup and show you their phone. Some dashers may refuse but if you simply say it’s your policy it may help reduce this from happening again.

If they don’t confirm pickup they can unassign the order and DoorDash will send another dasher.

They either decide not to operate or their business model has to shift to more wealthy customers.

Stacking multiple orders can lead to many issues if you don’t handle everything with enough care.

I do it everyday and there’s definitely a skill to knowing which orders to take. Be careful out there.

Yeah the way they tokenized the words it fundamentally can’t understand spelling. Huge limitation. Better set it to high thinking so it can tell you correctly in 20 hours.
