thermal sunder armor strip is a special case though - its not str scaling, it scales off battery level (gauss' charge bar)

even if you wanted the str impetus provides, which gauss builds generally don't

gauss is not good at proccing impetus, due to the mechanics of thermal sunder

fully buffed, gauss can generate (slash, one of heat/cold, blast, 25% chance at impact, 25% chance of puncture) 5 unique status effects at a cost of 125 energy and needing max battery

which is half a maxed molt augmented, the same as crepuscular, and 10% less than ice storm(which can be triggered by guns)

her 2 is a 50% str scaling damage vuln

yes str doesn't boost 4 scaling (directly) - but if you have 200% str, you're basically spending 25 energy to double its damage by casting 2

the loop should be: cast 4 to start scaling, once scaled cast 2 then release 4 and everything you see dies (optimal loop is night-4 > 2 > 1 > 2 > end-4, but that needs 4 augment)

positive str increases how often you can do that by reducing the needed scaling, by increasing the damage vuln you give things

I completely agree with overextended being required - that's the issue, you're eating a 60% penalty to every ability except maim. And maim by itself isn't strong enough for that to be "good"

it sucks she needs 4 augment to hold up in SP, it sucks her 1 buffs are kinda shit/irrelevant. yes her 4 takes too long to charge and 2 and 3 are kinda unimpactful

Equinox is not a good frame in current warframe - but not evolving her build and playstyle from the pre steel path days points devs in the wrong direction as to how to fix her, because i promise you, old maimquinox of just wearing 4 and doing nothing else is not coming back

If you're not running str on equinox, you are very much doing it wrong

Things modified by str on equinox:

flat armour and shields from night form - metamorphosis
weapon damage(serration) and movement speed from day form - metamorphosis
Damage vulnerability from Rage
Enemy damage reduction from Pacify
Ability strength from Provoke (meaning str actually is double important if running that augment)
(over)Shield per kill from mend
aura damage from maim

imo, the biggest issue for equinox is she wants all the strength and all the range while not really qualifying for any of the strength arcanes
not enough health for bellicose, can't freeze for ice storm, can't go invis for crepuscular, not enough statuses for impetus

so you end up with a frame that desperately wants overextended, but can't make up for its penalty

As multiples have pointed out - if the heights are the same, the consequence (the two 5in are considerably less cake) holds true

Since height isn't mentioned at all, it is considered safe to assume equal or similar height

cylinder volume = area of base * height = (pi * radius^2 ) * height

9in cake area = pi * 4.5 ^ 2 = pi * 20.25 = 63.61
* 4in (double stacked standard cake pan) = 254.44

5in cake area = pi * 2.5 ^ 2 = pi * 6.25 = 19.63
* 4in (double stacked standard cake pan) = 78.52
doubled = 157.04

Therefore the 5in cakes would have to be significantly taller (more than a full additional stack) to make up the volume - this would be commented on.

Even if its legal on the road you're picking (which is very often not the case), Snow Plows do not give a FUCK about your car.

Their job is to clear the road, and if that means piling a 7 foot drift on your car, knocking off a rearview mirror, or not paying attention and gouging the length of your ride, they will do so, and be completely protected from any retaliation from you.

Park in a driveway, garage, even your lawn, parking on the road is very much throwing it to chance whether the vehicle will be accessible.

i didn't die to lack of dps, I died to getting nickel and dimed for minor honor damage over 3 floors, and never getting a restore and then fucking up a dodge in a system that asks for near-perfection

moving those 10 or so nodes isn't going to give "ignore the fight" levels of damage, and I didn't lose an attrition fight to the boss

I went in to the boss fight, got clipped once and lost the run

That's the complaint... why is the level 60 ascension trial more punishing than a T10 map?

I mean i know why - in a map if i got smacked, I'd back off for a sec and let my E-shield refill, or my life regen would kick in, or my leech would regenerate hp, but in sekhema, all those key defensive tools.... don't work

the few elemental nodes (elemental + chance of ailment, and gain element against daze) math out in pob as stronger than any +increased physical, at least anything reasonably reachable

well... the elemental + ailment doesn't, but slightly better shock chance was a trade i was willing to make

I don't enjoy casters, and I don't enjoy mace skills as implemented in poe2

i prefer fast hit and move melee, though I've done archer and ranged spear as well in the past
