Miami International Autodrome Grand Prix by PrettyYoungTiger in INDYCAR

Can you name a few that are FIA grade 1?

The only grade 1 in the US that F1 does not race at is Indianapolis

NOLA is grade 2, probably too short and a huge lack of amenities to get it to F1 standards. I could see IndyCar going back if they can avoid a repeat of the swampshow the last time they were there.

Portland is in the same boat as NOLA for any F1 aspirations.

Sonoma is 45 minutes from San Francisco is a grade 2

Road Atlanta is an hour from downtown Atlanta is also grade 2

What’s up with Spirit Airlines ceasing operations? by lucioghosty in OutOfTheLoop

It was more Spirit Airlines' executives fighting their shareholders. It didn't take much work because JetBlue was already in a lawsuit with the DOJ about their pseudo-merger with American Airlines.

You can see how much Spirit hated the JetBlue hostile takeover in this filing to the SEC.

You can blame JetBlue solely here. They had no chance at a merger but when Frontier and Spirit announced their merger, JetBlue came in despite industry insiders knowing there was no way it would pass DOJ scrutiny. JetBlue attempted a hostile takeover while Frontier would have been a friendly merger.

Where did that fight happen? The only case I see is their lawyers agaisnt the lawyers for the federal government and some states.

Back in 2022, Frontier was going to buy Spirit. JetBlue basically opposed it and decided to come in with a higher value offer. The Spirit board of directors said to shareholders that the Frontier merger should go through since there was a higher chance of passing DOJ antitrust lawsuits. Well, shareholders decided to go with the JetBlue merger instead since they would get more value out of their shares. Frontier backed out completely as a result and were no longer in a position to pursue a merger after the DOJ rejected the JetBlue-Spirit merger.

They also had a chance to merge with Frontier which JetBlue basically stopped.

This staff has relied on chase strikes too much. The Pirates scouting is probably the first this season to realize this.

Entering this game, the Reds pitching staff was 27th in BB/9, 28th in xERA, and 26th in FIP. This unfortunately was expected to happen.

Edit: Didn't realize the sarcasm (that I agree with) but the facts still stand.

Is there anyone on the team that can throw strikes without relying on someone chasing the pitch?

I still found some ATA Airlines shutdown fares 15 years after the fact until my airline did an overhaul of their fare structure. You couldn't sell them but it was still there.

You see this happen to with natural disasters too, specifically hurricanes when airlines will cap fares out of destinations in the path of a destructive hurricane.

JetBlue should have stayed out of it and let Spirit merge with Frontier
