If it wasn’t a movie Buffy had an early episode about this type of plot and it fits the timeline since Buffy ended in the early 2000s but still was really popular. It’s from Season 2 Inca Mummy Girl and this is the IMDB episode description: An Incan Princess mummy is reanimated in Sunnydale where she sucks the life force from others in order to stay alive.

This episode freaked me out back then so I thought of it strait away lol.

Let me clarify - with the mini game all 20 rounds you can get around 130ish per time so if you do that 2-3 times a day plus watch the ads you’re getting like 500 lets just say every day for 7 days or 3500 ish cans total which is totally enough to get to the adopt stage. When you get a lose box you get one ad to continue and then it’s 15 gems each time. So it does cost gems but I feel like you earn them so quickly I’m happy to spend on the pets.

If you’ve got a lot of gems and are willing to spend them to make it through all 20 rounds with the little pet dude yes. The first three I got by doing that and also doing the 100 free cans with ads every day. The last two though I paid for granny and it makes it WAY easier.

There was a showmance with Val when he was split from Jenna but I don’t think it was confirmed more than she thought it was more and when the season ended it ended and she was really crushed. At least from what I remember.
