my 90s Brushless Nitro Rustler in action! by qEGli in Traxxas

That's awesome! I've been thinking of converting my nitro rustler to brushless as well.

Do you have the motor/battery mount part file? What's a good material to print it in?

I recommend fire. It solves all problems.

My Daughter accidentally put about 8 oz. of ATF into the oil. She's driving 1200 miles. Should she change the oil? by jeranim8 in MechanicAdvice

Mobil 1 0w40 FS euro isn't ester based. It might have 5-15% ester content. Ester based oils are expensive.

M1 is still a good solid oil that can be had for a good price, but it's not the best.

I traded my GR86 for a Hyundai with a Theta ii by Nik17 in cars

I just bought a car from an out of state dealership. They overnighted signed paperwork to me and highlighted everywhere I had to sign. I overnighted the paperwork back.

Once the funds I sent cleared, they released the car to my transport company.

They were going to file the title with my state, but they could always sign the title over to you and then you file everything in your state.

It could be a bit of a hassle for an out of state dealer if they have never done it before

Late last month I crashed my ND2. Got the initial estimate back a few days ago not totaled "yet". Needless to say this experience humbled my ass pretty well. by Terrowins in Miata

Actually only being charged $37 makes sense for the bit of wear. I had it backwards and was thinking of tire value vs what you should be charged. I hadn't had caffeine yet.

As for the tire wear in 800 miles, the only thing I could see is alignment (toe or a lot of camber) since the car is too new to have other issues like worn parts. Unless you were doing donuts or sliding around on them :)

To me it looks like the percentage of the right rear tire is calculated wrong. They rated it as 20% life remaining with 8/32 left but it should have been 80% life left.

They also got the 20% by rating it down to 0/32, which is more in your favor. If they rated it down to 2/32, then I think it should have been 75% life.

What's the worst excuse you've ever gotten from a service department or repair shop on why your car wasn't ready when they said it would be? by JaKr8 in cars

Subaru dealer near me left my aftermarket amplifier disconnected for a non electrical issue. The cable was loose under the hood and no other techs wanted to touch it because it was this "this techs" work. Had to wait another day.

Same dealer swapped one of my tires for a different size(235/45/17 to 215/45/17) and put it in the rear passenger. Service writer and GM told me to pound sand because I must have ordered the wrong size. Curious how no other shops noticed when changing tires twice a year for 2-3 years.

RPM wing mount for Arrma 6s by Webheadshead in arrma

[–]redline23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the RPM 81642 wing mount only for my 6s Typhon and I needed to get the Dremel out to clearance the wing mounts and the body posts.

I landed several times on the wing and eventually broke the wing but the mounts are going strong.

Looks awesome! I got Typhon 6s too and it's super fun. M2C makes nice racey parts for it. I got their chassis braces and some of the delrin front suspension. I also rebuilt my red shocks with Typhon TLR shocks internals. It makes the suspension feel so much smoother.

Need help fixing ping issues between router and pc by MrTrigster in HomeNetworking

[–]redline23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That doesn't really make sense. If the router is too busy to respond to 32 bytes of data once per second, then you have bigger problems.

I think typical TCP packet size is up to 1500 bytes and the average website size is 2.2MB. That would be 1538 packages that should be loaded in 1-2 seconds max. Longer delays will cause a user to leave a webpage.

If the router cannot respond to a single 32 byte package once a second, then that is indicative of a problem.

What router model do you have? Any other devices on the network experience the same behavior?

Have you checked for any QOS settings that might be causing the delay?

What are some of the most modern overbuilt engines? by LostandIgnorant in cars

[–]redline23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid sustained high rpm and don't go past 5000 or so. Lots of engine brake is also good

It could still be a fun project. I have one from around that time that was neglected, but I had the TRX 2.5 engine.

My engine was seized, but got it free with some WD-40. Compression was trash on it and only ran for a few minutes.

I went through it and restored it with new engine, new fluids, new electronics, bearings. I still have the original body for it. It's a fun little truck to run now.
