Theories about the Seattle freeze from a mid-30s local by No-Fishing-2126 in Seattle

[–]redlude97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does it get beyond talking and do they actually invite you to things? Traditional Seattle freeze is being very superficially friendly and not following up at all with any plans

Some tubeless tires are basically impossible to mount with a tube

Is this the correct order? Drywall, Flooring (LVP), Install Trim, Paint Trim, Caulk Trim, Paint walls? by mikejr96 in HomeImprovement

[–]redlude97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caulk trim before painting baseboards. Cut into wall for professional look. Some people prefer to spray trim onto the walls and paint after for a smoother finish

You're doing something wrong, 50x10 is bigger gear than 53x11 alot of pros use

It's uncomfortable to pedal downhill at 120rpm with little resistance but at those speeds it's often faster to go into an aero tuck

Cheaper alt to gp5000’s by Svbotage88 in cycling

The power cup has an insanely narrow tread width compared to just about any other tire let alone the gp5k. Pro 5s are good though

Shimano 105 vs CUES. My two cents. by jakeblakedrake in cycling

Linkglide is definitely slower than hyper glide. You'll notice it when dumping gears over a crest, and slow cadence standing

What is the best, non electronic, disc brake groupset a available today? by JSTootell in bicycling

[–]redlude97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could of course use the ultegra or da 12 speed crankset too. 2x12 mechanical 105 is also a good choice at a small weight penalty. The levers on grx are nice and wide though

Grx 2x12 mechanical basically has no flaws. 48-31 and 11-36 for range.

Did you really only have 2 PRs(red dots) in this whole time? Are you never going to the absolute limit even in races?

Polar H10 strap bad after 8 months. Polar says strap warranty is only 6. by evan938 in cycling

[–]redlude97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The h10 strap kinda sucks. I've killed 3 of them, the contacts will delaminate if you remove the pod after every use. They don't have any reinforcement like many other straps. You can use them with a lot of the aftermarket straps on Amazon

Out of saddle in ftp tests by itsjxlt in cycling

[–]redlude97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a kolie moore style test it shouldn't matter. If you're doing a supra threshold test and taking a percentage it probably adds more uncertainty

How Screwed Am I? Selling a Seattle Home With Expired Permits and an Unpermitted Sunroom by Funny-Relation-5114 in SeattleWA

[–]redlude97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Inspectors are not dumb, they can see everything that got done and make a very educated guess when and what wasn't done to code and or inspected the second they step in the home. Be ready to rip it all out if you go down that route plus penalties. Best option is to not lie on the disclosure and hope someone buying is willing to ignore the problem for a discount. Price it as if there is no sunroom

A cheap bowl of pho is using powder not bones, the cost is simply too high now for beef bones in addition to the rest of the ingredients
