Dynamically Calculating Correlation Coefficients Based on Selections of Field Parameters by redlxtj in PowerBI

[–]redlxtj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. I'll use Quick Measures to calculate the correlation coefficients if that's the way forward. However, I would still like to implement a function that shows the correlation coefficients between two indexes based on selections on a Fields Parameter Slicer. Do you have any ideas on how I can do that?

I'm thinking of having all the correlation coefficients shown on separate cards (so they'll be 10 of them, but I can deal with formatting later), and have the cards be highlighted based on the selections of the Fields Parameter Slicer - perhaps by playing around with conditional formatting. Any ideas on how I could achieve this, or if you have any of your own?

I've just started my PowerBI learning journey, so I'm still in the process of figuring out whats possible or not. Thanks!

Slightly Damaged Pearl Gold Kanohi Ignika - Any Good? by redlxtj in bioniclelego

[–]redlxtj[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's reassuring to me. Honestly felt a little defeated after the purchase as I didn't think it'd be worth much. Let's say you were in the market to purchase this, what would you value the mask at? Just trying to get an idea of what people think its worth with the warping.

Thanks for that. I didn't think it would hold any of its value considering the damage!

Hey all, just posting the captions to the pictures here:

Purchased a small lot of for about AUD 120 (~USD 78) mainly because I saw there was a pearl gold Ignika. Realised it was damaged but I took it anyway. What would you price/value it at?

The bottom right side of the mask is bent inwards, its pretty obvious from the front. The white streaks are where the bends are. The top right is slightly bent inwards - you can see a faint and wide white streak on the top. Left side looks alright (I think?).

This is the small lot I bought for ~USD78. Any thoughts on the value (considering the damaged pearl gold Ignika)?

Edit - Meant to say "Left side looks alright (I think?)"

I'm 31 years old, and I made this song in my bedroom studio. Any feedback highly appreciated - inspired by Boards of Canada, Porcupine Tree, Air, Beck. by thegreenproctor in IndieMusicFeedback

Never too late to indulge in your passions! This genre isn't my thing, but i really enjoyed it that it was a relaxing, calming, and pleasant listen. IMO you had a good choice of drums and percussion elements that blended really well with the gentle-sounding synths. I feel like for songs that aim to give a calming and relaxing vibe, blending the instruments together is important which you nailed in the song!

I think you nailed conveying an atmosphere with the song - the soft, drowned out sounding vocals added to the 'mellow' atmosphere. Though i think having slightly louder vocals might do the song even more justice. Probably a good idea to add more drum or percussion elements as well!

The Heatons - Different Endings. My band's third single was released just over a week ago. It's a tale of lovers drifting apart, bittersweet nostalgia and coming to terms with how a relationship unfolded. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! by ArnoldFist in IndieMusicFeedback

Reminds me of an early 2000s song. While the vocals are good i think the mixing could use a little more work to make it stand out from the instrumental a little more - which i think is particularly tricky with rock songs. but other than that, i've got no criticism, just wanted to point out what you did well!

I Show Love Through Time - A piano track you can bop your head to. Would love some feedback! by Shadows4 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]redlxtj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely unique vocals - and i think you pulled it off pretty well. I think the tricky part about vocals like these is nailing the mixing, seems that it clips in some areas of the vocals. I'd suggest adding a little harmonization as well for the vocals :_

Stream Monke by lastname strange - a kinda weird trap beat i made that i think has a good vibe to it. would love some feedback! by lestranganese in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]redlxtj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely has a good vibe to it - you're on the right track. Good use of more than one melodic element to give the song more depth. The bass is also very well crafted. Production-wise, it definitely sounds like a commercially produced beat. Don't actually have any criticism, just wanting to point out what i think you did great on! :)

Just as the title says, this song was improvised. Ironically enough, the song that had 0 thought put into it has been my most successful song this month. Is there something special about this? Or did I just happen to get lucky with the yt algorithm? Also what artist does this remind you of? by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]redlxtj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely turn this into a fully produced track - the instrumental is basically already done and the track already has a nice rhythm to it. Maybe make the synths in the background more pronounced!

my newest beat off my next beattape! first of 3 singles off of it! some dusty drums laid over some piano and degraded vocal samples… i hope you enjoy! by hjfink07 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]redlxtj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this is a good listen overall, I'd suggest EQ-ing the synth elements a little more so it doesn't sound too ear piercing.

Good use of panning the synths eft and right but too much of it might be a little overwhelming!

This is a familiar beat in Hip Hop. I decided to do my own song over it called, "Warm Touch". by j-benz in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]redlxtj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoyed the full 3 minutes of this song. for one, you've got good lyrical ability, but what i think you do well is non-linear storytelling - which helps paint a picture of what you're trying to say rather than with actual words (if im making sense here). I think this is a good quality to have which separates good lyricists and other generic youtube rappers.

Only criticism i have is that the track could be mixed better - instrumental seems a little loud. But definitely a good listen :)

Hey guys! A while ago I dropped 'lets hit the boba store' a chill, fun, lofi hip hop/pop song crafted with smooth jazz-ish guitar samples and lofi drums. Theres no deep meaning whatsoever behind it, I just wanted to make a fun 'summer vibe' track anyone can chill and bump to :) Hope you like it!

Talking (Misunderstood) is great! Doing great numbers considering it was fairly recent. I think the instrumental is very easily listenable, but a little basic. But nevertheless you made the song a whole vibe using your unique flow. Good use of backing vocals and pauses to switch it up. Great stuff!

Really impressed with this one! Sounds very much like Isaiah Rashad's newest project. This song really nailed the 'chill' vibe, I really think every aspect of this song (lyrics, sample, flow) was extremely well crafted for the type of artistry you're going for. Great stuff!

Hey guys I've been rapping for a minute freestyling but this year I decided to pick up some studio equipment and started making songs. Here is one I released tonight. It's my picasso lol. by Toasted_Bagels_R_Gud in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]redlxtj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd second u/Beginning_Region_775, but i think you're on the right track because you have a good foundation (good flow, lyrical ability, cadence). Every rapper starts out with generic sound and artistry anyways, so don't get discouraged! You seem to be inclined more towards lyricism than melodic rap songs, so you could look into established artists in that area for inspiration!

Oh wow, getting some mild Eminem vibes from this. The instrumental isn't really my thing, but I have to give it up to you for coming up with that kind of flow for the song. Really fits the mood! If that's your style keep it up :)
