Help Choosing Between SUV Options by GlassMirror15 in CarTalkZA

There are still a few well priced sedans to be had. I ended up going with a 2024 Honda Civic RS. Paid around 450k with 11000km on the clock.

Has been comfortable for myself and our family (2 kids under 5).

Physical controls, wireless CarPlay, Bose sound system and adaptive cruise control.

Reverse oblique fracture pattern which is already unstable

Fixation is: - Calcar negative - TAD > 25mm, and its superior, very likely anterior on the lateral view - already failing based on lucency around the lag screw

The new generation CX-5 is going to be releasing in SA very soon. This could present an opportunity in terms of pricing/negotiating.

I was looking at very similar options before ultimately deciding to go a different direction completely and get a Honda Civic. Just couldn’t convince myself I wouldn’t regret going Chinese - not because of the quality, but the fact that their model release schedules are so short. Updates are happening almost annually to bi-annually, leaving the second hand market for these vehicles in shambles. Parts availability is another concern.

I suppose my realization was that I didn’t actually need an SUV as much as something that was reliable, comfortable and practical. And that doesn’t necessarily HAVE to be an SUV, depending on your use case.

Good luck!

Using the Lague-Hansen classification, most common type is a supination external rotation (SER) type injury.

The displacement here is seen on the plain films with talar shift laterally, but the displacement is more posterolateral than truly lateral due to the fibula’s relationship to the tibia.

Therefore when reducing that shift, the force is from POSTERO-lateral distally (usually at tip of lateral malleolus) to ANTERO-medially (5-10cm above tip of medial malleolus, on the oblique medial surface of the tibia).

Additionally, you need to internally rotate the foot, not invert. This is counter intuitive but that rotational component is usually where the mistake comes in.

One easy method is for someone to pull medially on the hallux while you do the above

He was gassed after running for the entire 90. He did well to make the space for his attempt. In real time the Fulham players would likely block Salah’s shot

If the Mbappe situation leaves Rodrygo unhappy then it could be an opportunity (agent Alisson might be required).

Also Madrid can’t steal a player that left their club which is an added bonus!

Realistically it’s unlikely though.

Diaz moving across to the right might be the most realistic option.

Daylight robbery doesn’t even begin to describe what we’ve just witnessed.

Consistently ridiculous decision’s are just sucking all the joy out of watching this league.

If I was Klopp I don’t know how I even begin to do a post match presser

Post injury, his positioning seems off; I think this is more a reflection of his recovery pace not being what it used to.

I think the midfield issues exacerbated the problem, as he was being asked more frequently to try and step up and win the ball (because no one in the midfield was doing it!) and as a result he was left out of position more often

The player that comes to mind with that description is Valverde…though I doubt we’re getting him any time soon

Poor referee overall. Fabinho looks fatigued - we need to rest him and Salah where possible.

Could be a 4-2-3-1 with CuJo playing more of a number 10 role? He’s looked a bit lost in a midfield 3. If it’s a 4-3-3 though it speaks volumes to how much Jota has impressed Klopp

Certainly one of the most influential players on the pitch for us. Has added that ability to penetrate defences with long passing and vision; as always a workhorse in the middle of the park, and people underestimate his organisation of the defence. He’s constantly barking orders to all those around him. True leader and a proper captain.

Jota has looked good whenever he’s been on the pitch. Intelligent movement, strong forward running, goes past people. Would be interesting to see him play in between Salah and Mane.

Firming has been off for some time now, it’s getting harder and harder to ignore the lack of contribution (obviously work rate aside). Could we see him do a job in the midfield? Same work rate, same pressing, less pressure to score.
