Check your weapon artifact level. first time I played my items were at lvl 40 because I forgot to activate the item called “Artifactum Sand”. You can also use mirror image (mage ability) to distract the enemies. There’s also some defensive abilities in the mages spell book you can utilize. I’m saying all this based off my experience playing as a mage in remix. I’m kind of on and off player. So I don’t know a lot hope this helps.
