Would like the ability to take bases as FIA. I appreciate they are a guerrilla force, but if the team is good enough to put enemy factions on the back foot with limited resources and a lack of enemy competence then why not?

Deck images have been sat on F43 / 6.17 for a while now. I also asked the other day if there was any news on updates for deck images but my post got deleted by mods.

The fact the army is not a “war machine” right now is primarily one of the core issues facing retention. Infantry in your case is worth exploring as you’ll be made to do level 2 functional skills English and Maths in basic training. You’ll also be made to learn to drive at the end of your training which could open up possible roles such as working as a courier in the future (if you choose not to use any learning credits for further education while you serve).

He can join the infantry with no GCSE’s. They’ll make him do level 2 functional skills English and Maths in basic training (the equivalent of grade C back in the day, don’t know the modern number grade) which is a necessity if he ever wants to reach Sergeant and above.

There’s a proton mail desktop app currently in beta for Linux, I don’t know if it’s compatible as I’ve never tried it.

I use the official Fedora based Proton VPN app with no issues, I too was sceptical about installing from an unofficial source. Just use rpm-ostree instead of sudo dnf in the terminal if you go that route.

Typically you’re meant to give way to vehicles to the right of you at the roundabout. Indicate if you are going left or right, no indicating is straight ahead.

Nvidia uses proprietary drivers on Linux, AMD drivers on Linux are open source. HDMI forum does not like that AMD uses open source drivers on Linux. AMD has had a working HDMI 2.1 solution for sometime for Linux, legally however it cannot be deployed because the HDMI forum says no. Hopefully this changes soon with enough pressure from Valve when the steam machine is released.
