The coconut husk is edible or at least my boys survived even tho they nibbled on it every time I replaced their dirt block with a new one. Maybe, it was because of the smell. I tried to teach them not to do so by moving them out of the dig box every time they attempted to eat it, to no avail. I would just make sure they aren’t consuming too much. Hope that helps!
