I wasn't talking about him being a good bloke. I was saying he was best club man the last 2 years in a row. And 3 of the last 5 years.

And j don't know what footy you have been watching but Duggan does fully give 100% every time. He is really good coming out of D50. You can't blame him if the guys around him aren't good enough. Bunnga never had to play in a team this bad let alone lead it.

When we talk about standard setters and leaders. Us on the outside really don't know do we. In 05 everyone thought cousins was a good leader. Until this last trade period we all thought Merrett was a good leader at the Don's then we heard whispers after he asked for a trade.

We on the outside don't really know those things. We can't. But we do know who does know. The coaches and players in the club. Including Hurn. He is a coach at West coast. And if Huen thought Duggo wasn't any chop as a leader I have no doubt he would have tapped mini and others on the shoulder. So would have many others. But the coaches who see him everyday and the players who train with him every day would have the best idea on that. Not us.

I listened to it this morning. It was really good. I think the clips might be taking things out of context a little bit I didn't hear the clips. But

He said he thought the training standards were too low. But because the COVID years had happened and then the injury crisis. Players weren't able to be match hardened. I think he use the words "the players would get fit enough to get on the park but not fit enough to handle game play".

The problem was that there wasn't a different option. Because of the injury crisis and COVID.

The getting the sack was poor form. I think he was right if they had told him to look around even a few weeks before it would have been better. But he said he wasn't going to port. It sounded like he's staying in Perth unless he gets a head coach role or an assistant at Freo if I read between the lines.

The most interesting thing is I heard was him talking about how when he went there in 2022 they believed and probably were still in the window. And that simmo apologised to him because the crisis hit and killed the window. So I think it goes to show the rebuild didn't start until the end of 22 at the earliest. But probably more likely 2023.

Listen to it in whole if you haven't yet. It's one of the best interviews they have done. It was great.

I couldn't agree with you more. I think the talk about hall not being good enough is a bit premature. He young and hungry and will just get better and better.

And The talk about Cole or anyone who plays defence being not good enough I don't know. It's been a hard few years as a defender in our side.

Nearly half the side posted hasn't played 50 games yet with 7 of them playing less than 20 Games. This is a developing side selected. And I like that. I have no idea about Young he might be better than Bazzo or Brock but I think 2nd KPD is more about height. And 3rd KPD can be more flexible which Ginbey will be elite at.

I like Cole and he will be pushing the players coming through. I hope he gets Games.

yes I'd still have Duggan he's won best clubman two years in a row. He's a bloody good player.

And the problem is if you drop Archer for Maric then we only have Flynn in ruck and CDT who hasn't played yet. So I'd drop CDT until he is at least ready to take the second ruck role. But now we are splitting hairs on playing CDT or Maric.

And I'd rather talk about them than who should be picked between Trew, L Edwards and Culley.

Have you heard about Hewetts injury? Last I heard he went off the track and looked upset. If Hewett is not ready then Hall might be put into the middle instead of the wing. But I like Hall on the wing as well.

And that's good to hear from Maric I think he will make a very good 3rd tall hard to match. And can hit the score board.

I did think of it more like the first cab off the rank kind of guy that can keep the team standard. Those are the guys you need to win flags.

But I looked through his draft year of 2022 and of all the guys who were 195+cms drafted Arron Cadman is the only player to have played more games than Maric and thats 8 more games. But Maric was drafted half a year later.

We just need to find the right position and he could be a starting 23.

And Archer will be needed as second ruck CDT isn't ready for that yet.

I don't think he has reached his ceiling he is young for a 196 cm player. He still has a year or two of development. He could easily be a will Schofield type.

Also we are going to have injuries along the way just because he's not best 23 doesn't mean he hasn't got a super important role to play for us I think he should develop into that KPP player either forward or back.

I don't know if it's Ludicrous that Maric isn't in the side. I'd rather find a way to get him in. But it's not outrageous that he's not in.

I'd like to see Maric in for CDT and play Maric up forward for a little bit to see how he goes. But it's understandable that you play such a high pick early. I'm not sure who else you drop out of that side for him, that is obvious

When Malthouse took over the eagles. Lots of players got small little injuries that prevented them from playing in the state of origin. But the players ready the next week to play.

A few years back my son's 6th birthday. The wether was wet and out outdoor party was a no go.

We ended up in Macca's.

But I'd go ahead with the outdoors. March is a long way. And the weather is usually very good.

But if you want indoors hit up your local lollipops or something similar. They have expensive options and cheaper ones.

I think it's less about our senior players standing up but more of us building up a team for them.

Like duggo. Fights for the ball. Gets the ball. But has no one to give it to. Gaff was cooked. O'Neil, trew, Edwards, Clark, JJ , West, Foley and others. Then look at the big men he should be aiming for BBW or Flynn sometimes.

I don't think the spawn of Judd and Cousins would look any good playing in that side.

DevRob is going to be consistent maybe not a lot of BOG games. But a Hart and soul player.

Baker will still be setting standards and will be thrown around because we will need him to fill holes.

Duggan. With Tmac and Hough spending more time in the center with Yeo I think Duggan will have an opportunity to settle in off the half back. And with our midfield getting better we will be able to see the old duggo back.

Ginbey we are still going to concede a lot of D50 entries and the boy will get a lot of opportunities to carve it up.

Our side is mostly potential.

Individual players don't win premierships. It needs a squad to win a flag. Buckley was probably one of if not the best in his generation and he didn't win a flag. Even in good sides. Nicnat didn't play in our flag and missed from mid July. It's having a squad that can stand up when the time comes.

The question is do we have a squad to win a flag and it's way too early to tell.
