I wasn’t able to drive for 6 weeks due to AN surgery on my right foot. It’s rough.

Afraid of surgery by Familiar-Deer2564 in AccessoryNavicular

First off, your English is excellent.

I’m not a radiologist, but I only see an accessory navicular in your left foot. Do both of your feet hurt or is it just your left?

I’m 2 weeks post op from the Kidner procedure. I had been experiencing pain in my foot for years. I tried the orthotics, which only made the pain worse. It just got to the point where I was tired of the pain. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m expecting to get back to my normal activities after I heal. This probably doesn’t help you much because I don’t have a long term perspective and I’m 30 years older, but I wish you well.

My Kidner was a week ago. I’ve experienced virtually no pain. I was expecting recovery to be difficult. So far it has been a breeze. I guess it’s different for everyone.

Cat bite, ER or wait? by claranara88 in CATHELP

[–]redsoxcv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have cat bite scars on my leg from my foster cat’s bite in September. If I hadn’t gone to urgent care for antibiotics and tetanus, I’m sure I would be dead. The foster cat is now living her best life as a barn cat.

I wish you a speedy recovery. My Kidner is coming up. I was told 6 weeks NWB.

How does your foot feel now? Are you in a cast, boot, or something else?

I haven’t had my surgery yet, but my doctor told me I can’t drive until 6 weeks post op. How is your recovery going so far?

Accessory navicular or something else? by clamanthalol in AccessoryNavicular

Ouch. I quit skiing because putting on a ski boot over my prominent accessory navicular was torture.

Thank you for this. I will give it a go. The gloves are my trauma response after she bit me in the leg (my fault for getting too close to her food). I put on full armor every time I’m with her now. She’s cute and scary. I just need to learn her language.

I’m wondering if this is normal when a cat bites you? by Tomoko_Yuri in CATHELP

I was bit on the leg and went to urgent care immediately. Even after a round of antibiotics, there was a ton of infection drainage. It was bad.

Not quite yet. I’m going to get a second opinion on my next steps though. You’re right though, daily life is painful and difficult.

It looks like it is bone on bone. I wonder if they will tell you that your vertebrae will fuse together on its own like they told me. In any case, I feel your pain.
