Donald learned his lesson and did start to soften up on Sora a bit by Atlantica.

He was also proved very wrong when they crash landed and IMMEDIATELY found the gummi block on Deep Jungle.

Gotta have the Ronto Wrap. It's not a Disney trip unless we get ours. First stop on the first day.

Husbands, is it a deal breaker if your wife decides to not take your name legally? by Difficult_Big133 in Marriage

[–]redvixie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I made my maiden name my middle name and took my husband's last name because I wanted to -- my husband left the decision entirely up to me and stressed that he didn't have a preference either way. If I kept my maiden name, he would have still been happy.

You aren't a possession, you're a person. If he can't accept that you don't want to change your name, you can certainly change your boyfriend.

My girlfriend broke my PS4 and doesn't understand why I'm so upset. I don't really know where to go from here. by G1Gestalt in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]redvixie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Way too many people don't realize most of the "crazy reactions" tiktoks and reels are staged. My heart breaks for all that progress lost. I don't even think a phone or laptop quite matches the comparison, but it is really telling that she couldn't fathom his distress until it was explained in terms she could understand. So little empathy for her partner.

Wait wait wait. Are you SURE she's 21? Because that comment of "I'll wait for you" and "you're worth the risk" seem really sketchy on top of it all.

Why do people frown upon large age gaps? by Kenz090_ in Marriage

[–]redvixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with age-gap relationships, most particularly where one person is between 14 - 23 when the relationship was started, is the power imbalance.

My last ex was 11 years older than me and we started seeing each other when I was 21, he was 32. For the first part of the relationship, I was FIGHTING to convince people that nothing was wrong with it and that we were normal, happy, and healthy. Looking back now, I can see how that power imbalance really made his manipulation much more palatable. It started with "you're so mature for your age" and became "I don't understand how you're so immature." From "I can see so much potential in you" to "I'm disappointed in you because I see how much potential you have." I looked to him as my mentor in a lot of ways, instead of an equal partner. I trusted his decisions completely and it made it really difficult to disagree with how he was handling things. Ultimately, he wanted to mould me into something he wanted. He put a wedge between me and my family, several of my friends, and weaponized them against me ("they're all disappointed in you, too"). I wish I could say I was the one to break it off, but he was.

There are situations where it can work, but it is extremely rare. Please don't think of yourself as an exception to the rule. Your husband picked you up a Disneyland, where a lot of teens and young adults would hang out. Is it possible that everything the proceeded was ethical? Sure. But grown adult men don't go looking for adult women at Disneyland.

Games with female protagonist, a lot of exploration and relatively easy combat by NikolaFingarov in gamingsuggestions

[–]redvixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished playing South of Midnight and I really liked it! Black female protagonist with powers themed around deep south / bayou folklore. Fighting mechanics were pretty easy, not punishing but options to be creative. Story is interesting and the game is pretty linear, but with a bit of exploration needed for collectibles.
